PROMPTO HYPNOPHOBIA

                 Prompto has hypnophobia (fear of sleep). He developed it as a child when he began to be plagued by horrific and graphic nightmares. His brain, anticipating that he’d have such nightmares, would always remind him right before he tried to sleep. Some nights it wasn’t an issue and he was able to get a full night, but sometimes it acts up, even now.

                  He’ll try his best to do everything in his power to sleep and he even tried to get some sleeping pills that would help him before he and the others set out, but his brain fights those too and so he always ends up more tired than necessary. Camping often helps as they all pile into a tent and if he cuddles up to one of his friends at night they don’t seem to mind.

                    Often his exhaustion can cause lack in focus but he does his best not to let it effect his duty as a kingsglaive. Noctis and Gladio tease him for his naps that seem to always happen whenever they sit down for a bite to eat, but he’s too tired to care and drifts off before he can even respond.

                      When he experiences nightmares it can go one of two ways; He’ll thrash about until the others feel they have to wake him or he’ll wake up sobbing and screaming. The other option is he lays completely still, his body tense and locked up in fear; often he can’t move for several minutes after he wakes up when his body reacts in the second manner.

PROMPTO BODY IMAGE     

    While prompto worked hard, like really hard, on his body, there are still parts of him that shows the mess left by his childhood weight. His hips and stomach have jagged white and red stretch marks that look slightly out of place on his otherwise quite fit body.

          Due to this Prompto hates being shirtless in front of others and will often change in private. He doesn’t mind showing off his arms but the moment anyone asks to see him without his shirt he makes an excuse. No one has seen him shirtless in the group and it would take a lot of coaxing and trust for him to ever show anyone.
