i always thought it was strange to see barely any concepts of an actual royalty au regarding the horde. because, imagine how much more interesting it'd be if the horde was an actual kingdom? an actual civilization ? the clones aren't clones, as they are an actual species. hordekin is what ive been calling them for a while now, and as unoriginal as it may seem at least they aren't copy pasted form derived from one person.

horde prime is not the "leader", it's very different from canon. biologically, horde prime and hordak are brothers and they had actual parents at some point. their life is historical and based around royalty. kings, queens, prince and princesses. their bloodline consists of their heirs being mainly 'perfected dna', which is what horde prime is and hordak is not.

this universe contains more subtle hints of religious and cultish motifs regarding having someone as the next heir to the throne and keeping the bloodline going.

usually, the mother dies giving birth and either the father leaves or they stay to guard their offspring and guide them in the right path. so they were raised by servants and knights, more often than their actual parents

the species do not have actual names, they never earn it themselves so much as they're given titles instead. hordak's name was earned by himself alone, and despite how risky it was to ever publicly 'boast' about having one, horde prime and hordak keep that as a secret. horde prime, meanwhile, does not know if he ever will have an actual name. Horde Prime after all, is a title.

i dont know how to properly articulate my thoughts, so i apologize for that. the current details entailing this au devolved around:

hordak and prime (his name is not horde prime as that serves as if he has actual authority which he does not, so it is just prime) are set by default to have an extremely harsh relationship. they've gotten better the recent years, due to relying on each other and both understanding the situations they're going through that no one else would.

when I mean modernized, I MEAN it. hordak and prime have parents, grew up and had actual childhood. their parents in question are important to their character but are completely unrelevant elsewhere.

their story mainly derives from going into depth of extremely sensitive and harsh topics such as: child abuse/neglect, genuine extreme forms of bullying (to the point of murder), overall mental health and issue struggles.
