Hey guys - this is back in just 3 hours. We have a hell of a lot of new stuff this year, so come by! Keep the tradition alive!
Life has changed so much in the 10 years I've been attending this and it brings me so much joy that the tradition continues!
Any of my Tumblr friends with free time and a proclivity for obscure (and often AWFUL) media, try to stop in today! The person who runs it specifically said "invite online friends outside of the community" and it's such a delight. Sometimes good things show up like a surprisingly good Where's Wally holiday special and sometimes HORRIBLE things show up like a 1999 CGI adaptation of The Nutcracker starring Jim Belushi.
I AM VIBRATING WITH EXCITEMENT FOR THIS!
Also I am SO DISAPPOINTED that the community voted to let The Christmas Tree (1991) back in rotation!
YOU WILL REGRET THAT DECISION!
God, this makes me so happy. I’m touched that this thing I started ten years ago when I was a bored, lonely college student has meant something to people - and has somehow persisted for a decade.
Every time someone reaches out to me and tells me how happy this dream makes them, how it’s become part of their Holiday tradition - my heart warms over. I never imagined this would happen and I’m thrilled that it has.
