eeekk i'm okay~ ugh i feel sm better now that i'm writing again! although i'm not fully in my semester break yet cause i still have to go to uni to deal with some issues t-t ... hopefully all is well!
I really want to get into serious fan fiction writing but I don’t know where or how to start.
Like currently I don’t even have a full idea. It’s just that I saw a little MV and one clip brought me the idea "Okay imagine an X member would do this/which of them could pull it off."
But that’s it. I have no other clue what to do now or a storyline.
So I wanted to ask what are your steps before, durning and after writing?

hmmm i'm just like you, though ^^ i always get super inspired from a clip or a thought but it's stuck there cause i don't know to draw the plot/storyline. what i do usually do is try to put out scenes centre-ing around the clip i want to do, iykwim?
like, i wrote heartlink bcs i watched a documentary about horror of tinder and it was just that one case where she matched with her own stalker! i drew the buildup i wanted leading to the matching scene, and left it at a cliffhanger only for people to request more! by the time i knew it, the fic had three parts lol
before writing, i crafted everyone's personality, including characters that only made minor appearances/had two-three dialogues. character analysis is super important to me cause i really want them to be as complex and complicated as possible. and i don't want them to go OOC (although it do happen sometimes... :") ) and i also make short points (?) about each, deliberate scenes of what's going to happen. for example like:
[caught cheating]
sooha opened the door, saw reader and sunghoon on table
sunghoon's like, omg wtf you're not supposed to be home
yn covered her body with a blanket [so on so forth]
and this continued until the ending!
during the fic, i kinda just go with the flow... i do a bunch of studies on the fic i wrote, though! like for obsession right now, i'm rewatching scenes and even going through the script book to get more of an accuracy ambience and atmosphere. there will be scenes with similar dialogues 🥹 and oh! i make like a little section for every time an idea comes up my head and i want to add it to future scenes! not much happening during but you do have to be patience with writing blocks..
after the fic, sometimes i proofread, most often i don't. especially smut fics. i HATE reading smut like oh my gosh i can't comprehend that i write it ykwim. but yeah, always proofread your fics ^^. make them prettier, yk, put your quotations and your dots and your commas... make sure the spacing's right and this is just my personal opinion but try not to make your fics with small fonts! casual postings like this is fine, but try not to do it for your fics ^^ i know i did it on mine, but i'm going to stop it since it's hard for readers to read! hehe

hehe this version of obsession is actually not that far-off from the original movie! don't worry though >-< i'm not planning to stop with just this one! there'll be more versions inspired by this movie that i'm going to make about sunghoon and yn, or maybe other members too!

I don’t know if you’ve seen the script but there was this deleted scene of when Bear and Niki are having ‘sex’. The real Niki comes out and starts screaming but Bear stays calm until wish Niki comes back and she’s moaning. Idk maybe that can be added, I would love to see your skin on that
