my mom had a miscarriage a few years ago. I was seventeen. she brought home a picture of her ultrasound, but she didn’t show me, or tell me that she was pregnant. I’m not entirely sure why. i wasn’t at home when she had her miscarriage. I was either at work, or school - regardless, i was too busy to pay attention to my parents. a few months after she had her miscarriage, my sister told me about it when we had found the picture of the ultrasound. my mother was in the bathroom. she bled. a lot. suddenly, out came something that wasn’t all that normal: it was a fetus. i’m assuming it was severely underdeveloped. because my mother, who was completely distraught by the fact that she had already lost her baby in the toilet, had no choice but to wrap the fetus in tioilet paper. i don’t know where she put it after that.
