andrew, having a casual conversation with a male acquaintance: i could see the edge of a tattoo peeking out from the sleeve of his shirt, which did little to conceal the defined curve of his bicep. he was wearing a v-neck which exposed about five inches of his chest, and a chain which hung in the v, drawing the eye to it, like some kind of a slut. he stood a few inches away from me, but the air between us had a strange magnetic quality, a charged electric current. i physically could not look at him without remembering the time his shirt rode up a little and i caught a flash of his happy trail. he handed me his phone to show me a meme, and our fingers didn't brush, but for a second i thought they were going to and i got the vapors like a gothic heroine.

male acquaintance: hey man, you know it's chill if you're gay, right? like i'm gay also. a few of us are actually. like i'd be down if you wanted to or i could set you up with someone even. i get the caution i really do but like it's fine. i can introduce you to the safe people.
