- Home stirs. They stretch, yawn, and promptly begin to panic. -
Oh sh-- crap, I've been here way too long and I fell asleep, sorry, sorry, oh no-
- @home-soon
[His eyes are red and puffy, as if he's been crying for a while]
Ah, g-good morni-
W-wait- it's alright, don't worry- I, invited you here. I promise, it's alright, you can rest . . .
Your- your tea, got a bit cold, though.;;
- Home seems like they're about to continue panicking, but they notice the Librarian's eyes -
I- uh. No it's alright, about the tea, I mean.
- They pick up the tea, but hesitate before drinking it.
... Are you ok? That may be a dumb question, uh, will you be ok?
. . .
That, is a good question!
I, don't know,
I,
I. . .
[He looks like he's trying really hard not to start crying again]
I just, found a song, that. . .hit me, a little bit.
Ah. Hm.
- Home sips tea. It's cold but they don't seem to mind too much. -
Do you need a tissue or rag? To uh, wipe your eyes?
O-oh, no,
[He messily wipes his tears off on his sleeve, irritating his eyes even further]
I. . .
I'm fine.
Alright... if you say so.
- Home continues to drink tea. They swing their legs back and forth, and try not to fidget. -
- As Home sits, the atmosphere in the room seems to become calmer, more comforting. Or it at least tries. -
[The Librarian sighs softly,]
. . .Would it be alright if I sat next to you?
I don't have a problem with it!
- Home pats the spot next to them. -
Th-thank you. . .
[The Librarian sits, almost falls, on the spot next to Home]
Haha, make sure you don't fall!
- Home is still occasionally sipping tea. It's literally cold by now it can't be that good. -
Where'd you get this tea?
- Oh god. -
I,
Um,
Th-thank you, aha,
I, erm
It simply just, came with the bus. . . Some of it, that is. The rest I, bought.
Huh! Never thought a company would sell a bus that comes with tea!
And also a washing machine. This sounds more like a camper van than a bus. Eh.
- Home stirs. They stretch, yawn, and promptly begin to panic. -

Hello? I think, I might be here -@librarianbusdriver
- Home is sitting on a bench. They wave and smile warmly! You feel safe. -
Hello! I can go get my license!
- They're wearing a jacket and baggy pants. They're also wearing a neat cap! Their hair is black and shaggy, you can't see their eyes. -
[The Librarian happily waves back, indeed feeling quite safe.]
[Fea attempts to remember to compliment Home's sense of style later]
Ah, hello! Glad to see that I did find the right place. . .And please do, take your time with getting it.
Alrighty then! - Home jogs over to a very old looking bus. You're not sure how it's still running. -
- After a bit of audible creaking from the bus, Home re-appears with their license. -
Got it! It's all smudged and I can't really read any of the words on here. Or see the picture. It's all very blurry, somehow.
[After sparing a second to be vaguely impressed by the fact that Home's bus was still functional, the Librarian turned to look at Home]
Alright, let me see . . .
[He looked at the license.]
- The license is indeed blurry. It's like someone ran their hand through it and distorted all of the letters, images, and colors into something that might be called modern art if you tried hard enough to sell it as such. The shape of the ID itself is still normal, but everything on it looks like it got put through one too many spin cycles. -
...Yeah, uh. I have no idea how this happened. Maybe it got too hot? And uh... melted?
- It could not have melted. -
. . .
[The Librarian squints at it for a full minute before giving up]
I cannot read this either.
Did you, put it in the wash or something. . .???
Although even then, I don't think it's. . . weak? enough for that to effect it. . .
Hmmm. . . .
I haven't gotten home to do laundry yet, so it hasn't been through that.
Haha, I thought I'd have to get my eyes checked with how that thing looks! Ha... heh... hm.
Hm . . .
If you'd like, you could use the - admittedly inexplicable - washing machine on our bus?
And, are you alright?
Oh- no that's alright! All of my laundry is at home anyway so, no real point in using your washing machine.
... And uh, yeah I'm alright.
.
.
.
I should get going... probably. The longer I stop the more tired I get, and I can probably make it! This bus ain't gonna drive itself! Heh.
- Home seems very tired. A bit too concerningly tired to be driving a large vehicle. -
Hm.
No offense, my friend, but you appear exhausted. Are you sure you can drive in this state . . .?
And, what do you mean by "the longer you stop the more tired you get"? Should it not be, the opposite. . .?
Yeah! Yeah I can... -They yawn.- I can drive!
I'm not tired when I'm driving, usually...
I just... really need to find my way-- whoops-- get home.
You,
That doesn't sound very normal, no offense.
If you're absolutely sure you can drive, I won't attempt to stop you, but. . . My bus works just as well, either as a resting point or as transport.
None taken.
... And it may be nice to not drive. At least for a little while.
- They rub their eyes. -
I can only stay for a short while, I do need to head out soon.
Ha... man for some reason I feel like I should really get going, like, right now, but rest could be nice. Rest is nice.
- Home walks towards Librarian's bus. They seem to have forgotten that the Librarian has their license. -
Ah, understood-
[The Librarian realizes that he still has their license.]
Uhm, what do I do with. . .
[It sees they've already gone inside, and he sighs, following them.]
- Home plops down on a seat. Did they always look this exhausted? -
Thanks, I'm gonna... sit here. For a while.
I haven't been driving that long, I shouldn't be this tired... how long was I driving...?
- Home seems to be counting quietly to themselves. Occasionally they mess up and have to restart. -
That is alright, take all the time you need.
[He stops talking at this point, listening to them count for a while before going to make some tea.]
Thanks...!
- Home counts for a while, but eventually the mumbling fades out and they fall silent. They seem to be breathing steadily. -

Ha... heh... hm.
