Being the resident monster exterminator of Hellsing had its entertaining moments, but more often than not it equated into waiting in solitude until called upon. Sure he enjoyed pestering Integra and scaring the living daylights out of the Manor’s employees, but even that got old sometimes. A longer than normal life put one such as he at a unique predisposition for boredom, but tonight, he would experience no such feeling.

Humans when posed with quandaries or fears were often predictable, but this little situation with the Iscariot was different.

He still couldn’t get over the novelty of it all. The vampire had never actually kidnapped someone before, and this left a plethora of unanswered scenarios running through his head. Alucard had given Heinkel a choice and for the first time, in a long time, he couldn’t wait to see what happened next.

Upon hearing the priest cursing loudly from within the room, Hellsing’s monster threw his head back in laughter. He bellowed lowly from the depths of his middle, hoping the woman on the other side of the door would hear.

Resisting the urge to tear both letter and ‘outfit’ to unrecognisable shreds, Heinkel forced herself to read on because damn right she was refusing that particular offer. At the mention of weapons, her head shot up again to instinctively locate her beloved Eagles, giving them a rapid once-over for marks or signs of tampering with fingers that knew every little screw and mechanism. Whoever had taken them apparently hadn’t cared to sabotage them. Even the bullets didn’t seem suspicious in the least. She slipped both back into their holsters and instantly felt a little safer with their presence despite her situation. Alucard had given her a way to defend herself; a chance at freedom.

The priest scanned through the remaining few lines and snorted, offended at the very idea of taking her own life simply because the blood-sucking bastard had her locked up. She’d been in worse situations before at the hands of those with more reason to kill her and managed to worm her way out – although the repulsive decor was definitely a new twist.

No, the Iscariot would take his other option and fight. Crouching down, she squeezed her eyes closed and focused on the slightly hazy memory (marred by the blow to her head) of being carried into the dungeon. One thing her kidnapper hadn’t done was blindfold her, and that was a crucial mistake. Heinkel knew that a flight of stairs lead into the vampire’s chambers, and before that, there had been a door, several passageways, and another set of stairs before the manor’s entrance chamber. If she could buy herself enough of a distraction to get to the stairs, perhaps there was a chance of escaping. With her pistols, it was possible.
