Laura, Dom, Emily, Liz & Chester Our 12 pages are taking shape, with alterations made to the previously plain backgrounds of our kitschy work designed to be more visually engaging with an audience.The idea is that the work will be present at a kiosk or screen, and the audience has the ability to drag the mouse over whatever images they like, activating audio files, and to arrow key over to the next slide when they are done with the irritating noises on that page. Audience interaction and control is integral to the consumption of these 12 slides. They will be on an infinite loop when presented.

We discussed trying to upload our work to a website to have an audience interact with it (going back to our original research with the “now” and audience participation dependent works), and we have decided to use powerpoint in order to craft and present. This 12 slide work will be best accessed using this medium, with sound needing to be activated by the audience using a mouse. It is vital to have the audio files we use activated at the pace of the audience, depending on them to mouse over an image in order for sound to occur. Hopefully we can layer up enough audio images to create (depending on the actions of the audience) cacophonies of annoying sounds, all demanding your attention “NOW”. We are categorising our annoying sounds into groups including - HUMAN, ANIMAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, and STATIC OBJECT.
