a few days ago i drew this meme and then immediately after something compelled me to start to actually draw them kissing. like properly. according to procreate this took 11 hours and 23 minutes :) don't look too closely at the anatomy i used zero references apart from a picture of forget-me-nots. also this was my second attempt. the first attempt took over 3 hours. what else uhh. the shooting star was inspired by a panel in chapter 40 and yes i did tilt it to follow the angle a brim would.

While I do love Less Than Zero as a standalone movie, and I can appreciate Robert Downey Jr.'s absolutely incredible and heartbreaking performance, I will forever mourn the movie we could have had. It's nothing but a diluted story, ruined by the barely disguised homophobia of the audience at the time, where the only character who was allowed to stay somewhat bisexual coded had to die. Which didn't happen in the book, mind you. A diluted story where entire characters were scrapped, toned down and even a random side character, Blair's dad, turned straight for no reason. Just like they erased the main character's personality alongside his own bisexuality. A movie so far from the original book that the second book made fun of it. In this essay I will...
