”Patrick Jane? I certainly know a Patrick Jane. First time I met Patrick he drove my expensive car over a cliff and lured me to into buying a new one just to catch a culprit! And if he didn’t push cars over cliffs he certainly pushed his partner Tersea Lisbon over the edge, many times. Ha! Who would have thought that they would end up together? Actually I just met them before this interview, they have a house just outside here.” (Walter points in direction of the motorway. The interviewer nods silently as Walter think for a second then continues with his story) “He actually renovated it himself, Patrick, and now he lives there with Teresa, their son and little baby girl. You know, he’s just written a book that's about to be released, about Mentalism. Almost sounded like he was having a third kid when he talked about it (Walter smiles at his own joke and gets silent again. But then he jumps forward in his chair looking like he’s gotten an idea) “Wait! let me show you Lucas, their son, he’s a split image of his dad both in looks and smarts (Walter searches his back pockets) I mean he’s really...phone? Where’s my...? That little sh** bastard! Is that why he was so eager to hug goodbye even if we'd never met before...that little s**t is just like his &%*#%$&&% father, the son of a %&#%&#%& (the rest was censured for the 60-minutes audience)

Loved that second after her big smile, almost like it kind of “hits her”. That they’re married and she just told him about the baby and he’s ecstatic. Almost as she’s about to start to cry (of happiness) instead...
I thought his worktable with house-layouts missed something...
the mentalist rewatch - 1x20, red sauce.
the Jane-way.. acting stupid and ignorant but even if he really where the best golfer on earth he wouldn‘t put the man in place by showing it off (as characters often are showed to do in movies/tv). Jane would still loose cause he really don’t care what the man thinks of him, he don’t feel he needs to prove something/himself - unless needed for his cause. The only one he really cares what they think of him is people he calls his friends...and a certain cop-lady-wifey ;)

Beautiful! And the reason I fell for TM, it wasn’t set out to be (yet) a crime duo lovestory where the main characters attraction was “written on my nose” in the first ep. Instead, just as sometimes in real life, it sort of happened on the way, the characters started to move on towards that direction themselves.... ...and a little freakish that the last gif is reversed ;) (forgot to reverse the frame or on purpose?)
still one of the best scenes, showing they come to know each other so well they don’t always needs word to have an discussion ;)

I loved this scene so much… it could both be the perfect beginning and the perfect ending to “the Mentalist” movie … or book!

I know, wouldn’t it be great if they released a book “written by” Patrick Jane, telling his life story? ;) The fictional character having finished building their house and in needing something to set his mind of, Teresa suggest he’d write down his life’s story. Both as therapy for himself but also making it easier for him to in the future to tell his kids/ or read to his kids/ about his/their journey. And in the book, or in the appendix, there would be a couple of photocopies of the letters he sent to Lisbon, photos he has taken over the years of his environments or of his colleagues and friends, A copy of his birth certificate finally revealing his mothers name and so on ;) And that WB then would release this book “written” by a fictional character... Yeah, I would definitely buy it too ;)
(But it would not contain any picture of the smiley face and no mention of the name “Red John”, Because Jane wouldn’t want to continue to give McAllister some sort of iconic place in history as “RJ the biggest serial killer in Califonia” instead he’d strip McAllister of his name and mark and just show him as an "an ugly, tormented little man." )
sometimes I wonder if the pic is from some sort of magazine reportage or this one could be a clothes ad, they are both so incredible photogenic, but then I look at his shoes and then I know it’s from the Mentalist ;)

Bruno Heller: The heart and soul of the show that was on the screen and offstage was Robin. Me and [Simon] and a lot of others on the show can be angry, dark people but Robin was the spiritual glue and the mom. We would not have lasted half this long if Robin hadn’t been a brilliant actor and a brilliant person.
Of course she is! I love this!
