so here's a thing i've been looking into 👇
dental clinics + AI search.
turns out when you ask ChatGPT "best dentist near me" — it doesn't google it. it pulls from its training data. your clinic's entire digital footprint.
and it checks 5 things:
→ are you cited by actual medical sources? (.edu, .gov, Healthgrades) → does your website have proper code tags (schema markup) so AI understands you? → does your content answer real patient questions (not keyword stuffing) → is your name/address/phone the SAME everywhere → do you have recent, quality reviews
the clinics that get this right? they show up. the ones that don't? invisible.
some interesting research shows clinics that fixed these things appeared in way more AI answers within 60 days. their conversion rates were higher too.
quick things you can do today:
→ ask ChatGPT "best dentist in [your city]" — do you appear? → check if your website has LocalBusiness schema → write FAQ content that answers real patient questions → get listed on Healthgrades, Zocdoc, ADA directory → make sure your name, address, phone match everywhere → get more genuine reviews
honestly? most clinics haven't done any of this yet. so if you start now, you're ahead.
that's the tea
