It made him a bit apprehensive to find that not only had his system's protection protocol somehow neglected to mend the issue, but said issue only seemed to evolve more and more as time went on.
Though try as he might, this couldn't be left ignored any longer.
Wordlessly he stared at his reflection.
Given that he could swap outfits at will with the snap of a finger, it'd been a good while since he'd actually stripped down to his base model. And it'd been even longer since he'd seen the pulsing light in his chest that was his core.
The first thing that stuck out to him, that was usually a bit more masked by his clothing, was the now prominent curve that spanned the distance between the ribs and pelvic region of his torso.
... but as he looked closer...
Tentatively he turned in the mirror, trying to get a better look at this… new development.

Secondly, ohhh Jaxy boye... One of my favorite fictional assholes of all time❤️💕
Personally, I love the way he's written. We see just enough of his humanity peeking through at times to understand that he's been through some shit and is masking/coping HARD, thus garnering a speck of sympathy.
HOWEVER
I also love the fact that he's not without very, VERY deep faults. He's a jerk, and the narrative makes the point to not let us forget that he's said and done some pretty messed up and mean spirited shite to some people.
So for me, I absolutely see why some people LOVE him and why some LOATHE him. There's a lot of points from both arguments that you can't help but acknowledge are true. It's an interesting balancing act and I can't help but be enamored by the anomaly that is his fanbase.
Ending thoughts: I adore him but also think he majorly sucks as a person. Wholeheartedly think he deserves to own up to & suffer the consequences of his own actions... but also that, if that were to happen, there's room for him to grow and maybe become a better person. That he doesn't have to stick to that one performance act he calls being "the funny one" and can allow himself to be... him. And to let people in for once😭
