I nominate Amanda as well. Amanda is a new recruit to our team as well this year, but I am so excited to have her. She fell so easily into our rapport that is was like she had been there all along. 

@celebmirril Is another person I would like to nominate. I have known Krystal only a short time, she just recently joined our team, but she has been so amazing in her enthusiasm its like she’s been part of our group since the beginning. I cant wait to see what she does during the hunt and I am looking forward to getting to know her better! <3

I’d like to nominate @insidethebigheadofcarol for #GiveLoveToday because she has become a dear friend to me. We met last year when I recruited her to be part of Team @shenanig8rs for her first #GishWhes. She has consistently gone above and beyond with her hunt items, team cheer leading and creativity. She has become one of my Co-captains and I trust her implicitly to carry the torch when my mental illness marrs my ability to lead. 

OK I've given this some thought. And its the last thing about David Bowie that I'm going to post for now, because this loss has hit me with the same magnitude as the loss of Robin Williams and Douglas Adams (isn't it amazing how there are some artists who through their work alone leave an undeniable mark on the course of your life?) and I'm still struggling with it. I don't think there was a time in my life where David Bowie's music or influence was not present. Even with just his radio singles providing the soundtrack to family trips and childhood dance classes. As I grew older and began learning myself, my style, my tastes; Bowie became a feature in how my own tastes and style were shaped. I devoured his catalog, story, and art during HS. Became mildly obsessed and thought I was an authority (the way High Schoolers do when they want to stand out and seem smart) I did art pieces and sculptures of him in college, he inspired the names of many a pet (including our sassy Kitty Stardust) and his music seemed to evolve for me as my life changed. You hear the things you need to hear I guess. But mostly I am grateful for the fact that his persona and story helped bolster my courage when I came out of the closet as bisexual. Coming out is a terrifying thing, even to this day I pause before telling someone new, you never know how they will react. Bowie was a beacon for me at that time, a symbol of someone who not only overcame the worst of those prejudices but gave 'em the finger. 15 years later, I now identify as Queer/Pansexual and I'm proud of who I have become. Because if David Bowie taught me anything, its that things and art and people are always evolving. So thank you, Starman for your short time here on earth and the huge impact it had on our lives. Good to know you are back among the galaxies from whence you came.
