Two Deer Playing Games

...Except living with colour blindness kind of teaches you to ignore what colours things actually are because you're probably going to be wrong anyway (I honestly see Big as blue more than purple, simply because I see less red than normal, even though you'd probably assume that red/green colour blindness would only affect those two colours), so you start judging things more on their size, shape, position and context more.

When describing a car I'm far more likely to start by describing what shape or brand it is over what colour, because if I can't directly see it I probably didn't bother to commit that information to memory because it's *probably wrong.* My first car was dark green (and previously my grandma's), but I only learned that three years after I first saw it when I told someone else it was grey while trying to find it in a car park and got corrected by my mum.

So from Amy's perspective, "male hedgehog who's slightly taller than me, has his spines slicked back, is wearing running shoes and visibly carrying/wearing rings" has a pretty high likelihood of being her favourite blue blur. It's only after hugging him and him *not* reacting by struggling and going "Wh-?! Amy??? What are you doing here?!" and instead just coldly standing there that the first "Wait a second this isn't Sonic its just some guy and now I've embarrassed myself" coin drops, and *then* she pays attention to colour in order to confirm that he's not even blue oh god how do you even make that mistake. And if memory serves, in Sonic Adventure 2's cutscene she lets go of Shadow, steps back, *and then does a double take* like she's just realised how obviously not blue he is.
