Chart erected for Washington, DC (Monday, October 8, 23:47 EDT)
It’s a Libra New Moon, and Venus has been Rx for three entire days. The lunation itself is conjunct both Ceres and the Dark Moon Lilith. And at least in Washington DC, Cancer is rising and the lunation falls in the 4th (Cancer) House..Consider too that Pluto/Capricorn (patriarchy) is in the Washington DC 7th House of Open Enemies, conjunct the Descendant in fact, and square that lunation and its participants. Rather angry Mother/Grandmother energy, isn’t it? And nothing is really flowing with that New Moon at all.
Remember the Johanna Hedva quote I blogged the other day: “The most anti-capitalist protest is to care for another; to take on the historically feminized and therefore invisible practice of nursing, nurturing, caring; to take seriously each other’s vulnerability and fragility and precarity, and to support it, honor it, empower it, to protect each other: a radical kinship.” This New Moon is all about bringing out the “historically feminized” and making it our approach to life.
Putting this into the context of our own charts - in which of your houses is that New Moon?
To demonstrate, i’s in my 11th House - long-term goals, group involvements, global awareness. It makes quite a few flowing aspects to my natal planets. What I also know is that the next New Moon will totally skip my 12th House (only 20 degrees) and land practically on my Ascendant. Create the goals now, take personal action then?
