The sun is high in the midday sky, the blaring light surrounded by wistful clouds. Snippets from conversations are heard here and there with the moving crowd bustling with the city flow. No one stands in a place for long as entertainers perform their abilities on the sidewalks to excited children and glaring lights drawing in teen mutants. However, moving away from the buzzing mutants comes the less dense side of the city, the part where some people frequent to if they were lost or were merchants. Perhaps even people curious of the area. But the fact was that it wasn't a part that was famous for anything.
And in that dense circle around the city is a small shop located 30 minutes away by public transport from the metropolis. It wouldn't matter if you took the quickest carriage towards the store, there were streets to navigate, dead ends to meet, it wouldn't be the easiest place to get to. But for one girl, it was normal. The dollmaker of the corner shop sits behind the counter on most days, next to large wooden dolls that seem to blend in with her. The rows of the shop are stocked with various toys however it is clear that they are meant for a certain age group.
The figure setting dolls onto the shelves moves around with graceful glides, its movement smooth and tranquil, had the wooden jolts of the figure been covered it would have been nearly impossible to tell it apart from other beings.
