It makes me want to tear my hair out when I see people say the Creature in the book is ugly. He isn't. He’s supposed to be a figure of Gothic beauty.
Guillermo del Toro got it right when he created the Creature the way he did.
And sorry, but anyone who says the Creature in the 2025 film is automatically handsome just because Jacob Elordi is playing him... is wrong. The Creature is a gothic beauty (in the movie and the book), and—believe me—people who don't have the sensibility for that sort of thing are going to find him ugly. Handsome in his natural state, sure, but not in the Creature's skin. I know this because I’ve literally shown the film to as many people as possible, and the reactions to the Creature were mixed.
I needed to say it.
REALLY!! LET THEM READ THE BOOK WITH THEIR EYES, NOT THEIR ASS!! GUILLERMO HAS SO ACCURATE APPEARANCE THAT NOW I CAN'T IMAGINE ANOTHER!!
