“Oh, it’s you.” OH, IT’S YOU?! Are you fucking kidding me?? I knew it was bad, I knew this was bad, but rewatching it again and hearing him say that—what were Studio Pierrot thinking—what was Noriyuke Abe thinking? I mean look at Orihime, look at how anxious and scared she looks here!

This is the first thing he says to her in the entire anime—this punk-ass line like he’s looking at someone beneath him. You wanna know what he says in the manga??

“You’re happy as usual, Orihime.” Not only does he not knock her down and practically insult her, but she greets him with bright and cheerful smile and he takes it in stride, commenting on her upbeat positivity.

Remember: Ichigo only held back because of Orihime, and when she encouraged him, he regained his smile and quickly defeated Grimmjow with a single blow hahaha.

WHAT IS A HEART?

Ulquiorra understood what a heart is through Orihime and Ichigo, especially through Orihime's unwavering love for Ichigo and her friends. Even when Ulquiorra tried to break her faith by killing the love of her life in front of her, Ulquiorra finally understood "what a heart is."

So this comes from a comment that made me read Trascending Love again, particularly chapter 2,

It was the prompt of living together but in completely different conditions than canon with lots of events changed that recall canon, so thanks to that comment I have been thinking on making it a full fic!

Details from the chapter:

- The world building is solely in Soul Society; - Isshin came back to his clan with Ichigo after Masaki died, maybe from the birth or the Quincy matter happened sooner. Isshin is on probation. - Therefore Ichigo is an only son, liked to fight but keeps to himself in his own dojo. - Orihime ended up dying when she was a child from the hands of her mother [canon], going into the Rukongai. - She’s the one that comes into rescuing Kaien and Miyako, thanks to that she’s taken under the wing of the Shiba clan. - Ichigo who did not want to become a soul reaper and spent his days as he wished, is forced to look after her. - They start to get close, falling in love as they share the same wing of the mansion, spending time together and learning as well. - Things change when the Gotei and the Central become aware of her presence and her powers, Kaien wants to heal Ukitake for example.

Things obviously evolve from there, they go into the Academy and meet everyone else when they get into the Divisions, the events of Canon happen with some twists and turns.

I had somewhat forgotten this AU lol but now I’m very intrigued on how I can expand it further! if you want to know more i suggest reading the chapter!
