   The moment Akali’s thumb starts caressing her cheek, that’s the moment she fully give in, slowly closing her eyes, her body completely relaxing against the other’s touch, something she rarely allow herself to do. But right now, she feels warm, she feels comfortable. At ease. She doesn’t say it, but she is surprised by the careful attention she is receiving, the gesture so unlike the rogue’s usual behavior.

   “ It… feels good. “  Her voice is a quiet, soft whisper as she relishes in the moment they are sharing.  “ What you’re doing with your hand. It’s very pleasant. Please, don’t stop. “  

   The surprise she felt toward Akali’s sudden softness was nothing compared to the one her answer caused. Eyes opened, seeking Akali’s gaze. She was aware of the fondness the other had for her, a fondness that she definitely returned. But to think the ninja felt that comfortable around her was unexpected, and the thought made her smile. Once more, she’d reach out, hand freezing only an inch away from her shoulder before she’d ask.  “ May I? “

           it all felt much too odd, albeit in a good manner, to find herself acting like this; chest tightening sweetly as though all of these feelings bubbling up within her is just about to suffocate her and explode, and hints of red dusting across her cheeks as the tip of her ears burns just from irelia’s words. it’s ridiculous, akali thinks, how easily she succumbs into the blade dancer’s request, the small smile on her lips only curling all the more as she brushes the woman’s skin with her thumb once more.

she knows what it all means ー this tightening in her chest, why it’s so easily to relax around irelia and how she can bring herself to put her guard down around the woman, even if just for a moment. they may have their differences, but the few moments spent together has always been pleasant, and perhaps it’s from these rare times that these feelings began to blossom. feelings she would rather deny and never speak of. but maybe, just this once, she’ll let it take over her.

taking irelia’s hand in her own, she looks up at her with a rather timid glance before furrowing her eyebrows once more, hiding away all the uncertainty and reluctance with a mask of confidence before slowly leaning in ー closer and closer, until she could almost feel the other’s breath against her skin. 

   Though, her very embarrassing train of thoughts got cut, the unexpected feeling of the woman’s hand holding her own bringing her back to the reality. Blue eyes finally left the ninja’s face to go down to their now joined hands, and, when her gaze went up again, it was to see Akali’s face much closer than it was before, and the woman looking way too confident. And now it was Irelia’s turn to feel her face burning, almost to the point of melting when her previous inquiry got returned to her.
