But seriously, the idea of Todoroki falling for Sero first is really sweet.
I’m about to go on and ramble, so buckle up, buttercup. It’s gonna be a long one.
So I feel like Todoroki has never really felt the feeling of being truly appreciated or hell- loved. Platonically or not. But then Sero came around...
This tall, lanky, plain dork with a gorgeous smile.
No matter how much Todoroki would push away or be too nervous to begin a friendship, Hanta pushed on. He sat him down and explained he’s not upset over the sports festival and he just wants to be friends and patch shit up.
Todoroki was fucking sHOCKED. He nearly killed the poor boy, so why would he want to befriend him?
Well...It’s Sero. He’s not one to hold grudges unless it’s really awful.
So anyway, when Hanta started to hang out with Shouto and introduce him to the things he likes...
Shou was like- “Wow, wow I’m very homosexual. That right there? That’s my man.”
Well, not like t h a t but you know.
I feel like when he really realized his feelings it was just...out of nowhere while they were hanging out.
Something like this:
Hanta babbled and laughed as he rambled on and on about the Bakusquad’s shenanigans, a bright smile on his face. But it wasn’t the forced smile he always has plastered on. It was genuine...and soft.
The way his fluffy hair bounced as he talked, and the way his eyes would light up at the littlest things.
Shouto adored it.
Everything about Sero he loved.
He was quiet, caring, and easy to talk to. Sero had a lovely personality and knew just how to make even a little close-lipped smile form on Todoroki’s face.
Now, again, Todoroki has never....felt that way before.
So he just ended up staring at this boy who he found absolutely breathtaking, 100% lovestruck.
And that was the moment when he realized d a m n, I- I ‘ m g a y?
So after that, confused by these newfound feelings, Todoroki had begun to read up on some manga that Sero had mentioned just so he could talk with him about it. Just so he could get closer to the other and maybe figure out what and why he’s feeling the way he is.
So it’s sweet....and Todoroki is sofd for Hanta, send tweet.
I usually see in Seroroki fics that Sero is the one to fall for Todo, because he’s the “prettiest boy in class” and “he’ll never love me I’m too plain.”
But I think...
The other way around is more interesting.
The “prettiest boy in class” falling for the “plain” tape kid.
Out of everyone in 1-A...Todoroki saw something in Sero that others didn’t.
And I think THAT is the real tea.
