There is. I think that's what attracts me in David Hockney's paintings.
David Hockney’s iPad Prints
London art gallery Annely Juda Fine Art is opening a beautiful exhibition by David Hockney, one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. As well as drawings and an installation, the show will include 20 color prints which were drawn on Hockney’s iPad, showing the arrival of spring in Yorkshire.Â
Of his iPad drawing, Hockeny commented that, “Some took two or three days to draw, and they were all drawn knowing they would be printed bigger. They were deliberately made for printing.”Â
The iPad drawing were in fact first shown in 2012 at the Royal Academy of Arts major exhibition, A Bigger Picture, which later travelled to the Guggenheim Bilbao and Museum Ludwig, Cologne. Â
David Hockney, The Arrival of Spring opens on Thursday, 8 May at Annely Juda Fine Art.Â
