I finally finished my outfit, this is what I’ll be wearing to manchester night 2! I’ll be wearing the delicate dress the first night. I made all of my outfits completely from scratch and I’m really proud of them! I made the black rep one in 1.5 DAY because my other fabric suddenly got delayed BUT HEY I MANAGED (that’s why I only have a mirror photo of it lol)

hi all!

today is @taylorswift‘s reputation tour date in Denver and i thought today would be most appropriate to address the video this picture is from which i feel a fair amount of people have seen by now.

as a woman, a victim of sexual assault, a former athlete who’s body never belonged to herself, and even an employee who has to put up with instances of sexual harassment almost daily, seeing these men devalue every soul in the crowd before them the way they did evidently struck something in me. 

spreading the word of your religion and beliefs is one thing. spreading hatred and blind disapproval, on the other hand, is unacceptable and truthfully so painful to watch.

taylor’s assault case especially ignited this strength in me, reading the ways in which she demanded the respect she deserves, the ownership she has over her body and her life was something i hope future generations will always remember and know of. because of her, so many people (men and woman) felt the power necessary to take their own lives and their own bodies back. 

some brush off my “dancing” or “strutting” as just a sultry drunken act or something of the like but in reality, this was my way of taking a stand for myself and everyone else who has ever felt victimized and diminished by others because of their race, gender, body type, religion, financial state, etc. 

this was my way of using the strength @taylorswift encouraged myself and so many others to have the second she took the stand in Denver, CO last year. 

so today, and every day, scream the loudest, dance the hardest, and sing at the top of your lungs for this woman. she has given so many people the courage to do things like what i’ve done and even GREATER things.
