It's my 15 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

I consider myself a fairly conservative parent. I only worked when the oldest was little. Haven’t worked outside the home since he was probably 4 years old. The kids have always had a full time parent. My kids don’t have TVs in their rooms even now as adults. (Just a tv in the living room) They were not allowed computers in their bedrooms until they turned 18 years old and until then their computer had to be in a family common area. Video games could only be played on the weekends. (They could earn the right to play them durning the week if their grade average were 80 and above) They got cell phones at a young age because of Dad’s job and me being disabled but those phones also had parental software on them. Friends were always welcomed in our home but if they wanted to visit someone else’s home, we had to go inside to meet the family. I wasn’t trying to protect or shelter them, I was trying to make sure they stayed kids for as long as they could and that they could develop their own beliefs without any negative influence. So I feel pretty confident in saying kids don’t learn or pickup being Queer from their friends, tv or whatever nonsense people wanna say. If you wanna say it’s against your beliefs well then YOUR GOD AND RELIGION IS WRONG. If you wanna keep posting misinformation about transgender youth, then I will continue to correct it. Regurgitating misinformed hate cause five families to lose their children last night. I don’t align myself with any political party or ideology. If you wanna say it’s against your political views then YOUR POLITICS ARE PRIMITIVE AND UNINTELLIGENT. And if you don’t wanna you kids anymore because they joined the Alphabet Mafia, send them to me. I actually feel it’s completely valid to not like changes to a character or stories you are attached to. People are always trying diminish how some feel about fandoms. Attachments to fictional characters are not just valid but can be very important to people. Many times on my life my friends lived in the pages of a book or in episodes of a TV show. For example, in the middle 80’s my special interest was mermaids. The story “The Little Mermaid” was written by Hans Christian Andersen who was believed to have been a closeted homosexual and he wrote stories with themes that addressed his repressed sexuality. The Little Mermaid is actually thought to be an allegory for homosexual love. Y’all dumbass clowns bîtching about this remake being part of the “wOkE aGeNdA” when the Little Mermaid was ALWAYS “woke” 🤡 Not liking changes to new adaptations of your fandom is completely valid.
