TRUE HEROES NEVER DIE

Stephanie had just moved, and, picking up the last of her suitcases, she ran off, until the suitcase jammed into one of the floor’s unevenness, flapping to the side and banging on someone “oops! Sorry!”

“ you’re blocking the doorway. ” jughead raised his eyebrows, one arm wrapped around the laptop he was often immersed in, talking to the back of someone’s head without knowing (or caring, truly,) who it was.

wally had been having one of those days where everything seemed to be going wrong, and the sound of the voice made him jump. wally pushed himself out of the way, hand rubbing the back of this neck. “ ah man i’m sorry, kinda spacin’ out y’kn..you don’t care sorry. ”

          Mouth agape at the sight in front of him, Barry was more worried about the consequences of the action the person was performing rather than exactly what they were doing. “Um—— are you okay?”

          “this place is just so amazing” she muttered looking around and then approached to the nearest person “excuse me but can you tell me where we are? i mean, i know this town is magnolia, the name at least but i’m not sure in what part exactly”

“The light pollution around here is awful. Like…you can’t even see half the stars. Not cool.”

“right? where do you like seeing the stars the best then man?”

Dick looked up. Was this really happening? It was. He could feel his face turning slightly red. He chuckled “I’m not the world’s greatest detective, that’d be my dad. I only dabble in great detective-ness.” He smiled, everything was good in this moment. He leaned in closer to Wally and kissed him again, this time knowing that nothing bad was going to come from it. “I’m pretty sure I know the answer by now; but would you be my boyfriend Wally?” He said with a smile on his face.

 the  other  boy  speeding  away  &  back  got  tommy’s  undivided  attention  &  even  his  surprise .     the  only  other  speedster  he’d  ever  met  before  was  his  quicksilver  &  it’s  not  like  his  uncle  was  any  sort  of  cool  to  hang  out  with .     this  red  head ,  though ?     he  seemed  promising .     tommy  grinned  in  return .            ❛    dude ,  YES !    ❜

 it was nice to actually meet someone who wasn’t barry that was also a speedster, of course wally loved barry after all that’s why he was this way. but what was the harm in meeting new speedsters, hanging out with them? he groaned a little as he could hear dick grayson in his head, telling him that they probably shouldn’t be doing this out in the open--- which was very much true. the red heads eyes rolled,   “  i hate bein’ a party pooper but i know for a fact a very angry Nightwing might show up if we carry this on, he’d  say something about ‘getting caught’ ”

“do you know where i’d be able to buy flower seeds?”  the princess has a watering can in one hand, and her simple dress has spots of dirt all over it.

This wasn’t how Dick usually dealt with these kind of situations, he was known for being, as the kids put it; smooth af . Though right now he wasn’t feeling that smoothness, it was a very un-smooth conversation that he was having. “Yeah, I figured. Well, ehm, come in. Tim isn’t home, so don’t worry.” He closed the door behind Wally. He sighed, he had known this talk was coming, that however didn’t mean he was looking forward to it. “Look Wally, I like you, you’re my best friend and I don’t mean to ruin what we have. If I- if I messed that up when I, well you know. When I kissed you, ehm, I’m so sorry about that. We could just forget that happened if you want, and-and if you need space I understand that.” He rambled on, normally that was Wally’s job. “I just, it was a heat of the moment thing and it felt right at the time, you know? What I’m trying to ask here is, how do you feel about me, because I feel more for you than just friends. Much more than that. I really hope you feel the same way but if you don’t that sucks for me but I can’t change you. I’m not even sure if you’re into guys at all. I know I am, but that’s kind of besides the point right now.“

the idea of tim walking in on this was somewhat funny in the back of his mind, but he was thankful-- he knew last thing tim needed was to see whatever was about to unfold, walking in wally’s eyes hit the floor. before he could speak dick started which made his heart flutter for a moment, as his head shook-- god for someone really smart dick was being a big idiot right now, admittedly wally couldn’t help but find it adorable. wally grabbed at dick’s hand squeezing it “ hey, never be sorry.... ” he paused shaking his head, his eyes rolled at dick but he didn’t carry on he wanted to let dick finish. 

      he liked him more than friends, wally had wanted this for as long as he could remember. in fact he already had a speech planned in his head for such moment, but right now? right now he’d forgotten every word of it, the red head stepped closer “ in every universe i’m pretty sure i’d fall in love with you, if you think for a second that i don’t then i suppose i’ll have to remind you of that. ” wally let out a chuckle, “  can believe you thought i wouldn’t feel the same way, boy wonder you really gotta step up that game if you keep thinking that way.  ”

‘‘Oh I’m sorry. I’ll stop talking so much. I was teased when I was younger for being smart in school.’’ Hermione didn’t mean to show off how smart she was about certain things. She just had to make sure not to talk about magic. People would think she’s crazy. ‘’I can leave if you’d like.’’

“No..really it’s cool don’t stop.” Wally paused as he frowned, why on earth would one be bullied for being smart? The red head never got the minds of those who bullied they really are very small minded. Wally shook his head at the other, “nah you can carry on, I find it interesting. I’m kinda a science nerd myself so..get what it’s like to be passionate about being smart in a subject you love. ”

He had kissed Wally. Dick still couldn’t really believe it, and since the two of them had not spoken about it after it had happened, Dick was wondering if it was one of those ‘things that happened in a dream but your brain decides to file it under memories instead’ sort of situations. Yet it had felt so real, it must’ve been real. They’d been at the parade, there was just so much  l o v e  around them, that, without thinking, Dick had kissed Wally. Had he made the wrong move? Would Wally think weirdly of him for the rest of his life?

A knock on the door made him snap out of the thoughts he had sunk deep into. He wasn’t expecting anyone, maybe Tim had come back early. He headed to the door and upon opening it saw Wally standing on the other side.

“Ehm, hey! What brings you here?”

Wally knew he couldn’t make this awkward but when wasn’t he awkward? This was just another day in the life of Wally West wasn’t it? Wally couldn’t say it wasn’t nice dealing with actual normal adult things for once but still--- still this was a while new level of emotions and feelings, something that very easily could make or break the best thing that has happened to him. Wally’s head dropped as he chuckled, “ I wanted to see you? ” Green eyes rolled he had to get to the point didn’t he? He could tiptoe around it, “ plus...we’ve not seen each other since what happened and I--..wanted to make sure everything is okay..if we’re okay? ”

❛    wanna  see  me  run  to  that  bench  &  back  ?    ❜           there’s  a  pause  &  a  slight  WOOSH  &  if  you  blinked  you  would  have  missed  the  mere  partial  second  he  seemed  to  not  be  there  before  he’s  back  &  grinning ,  hair  somehow  slightly  more  windblown  than  before .            ❛    wanna  see  me  do  it  again  ?    ❜

wally grinned at the male, “  dude i wanna do that with you, like-.. ”  wally paused as he speeded over the a nearby bench and back over to the other. wally nudged him lightly his grin growing bigger, “ i’m WALLY, WALLY WEST by the way~ ”

“This is not the place your looking for.”

   ( wally you can do this, it’s dick--- you can do it. )  wally thought to himself, but last week was questionable at best. in the heat of the moment something happened, wally was still unsure if it was real--- unsure if it wasn’t just some fantastic dream he was about to wake up from.
