She wrestled with the demons that held her mind enslaved. Everyday was torture, waiting for the night when shadows would cast a glow from the embers of her soul.
She dreamed of the day that, he would be there to light a flame that would be for only her. She was tired of always being a second choice, never the one who was thought of first but merely an afterthought.
She dreamt of strong arms that would wrap her up, protectively. The same arms that told all others that she was his and his alone. She wanted someone who she would never have to share.
His hands, strong and tested, not soft hands that knew easy work but hands that worked in the seasons.
A tender but loving heart, one that knows that with sadness comes joy, tears become laughter and the man who is willing to go to hell and back for her.
She wants an honest man, a man with integrity, one who makes a promise, a commitment and holds true to that. Someone whose eyes do not stray because she had been down that path before and she knows exactly what it feels like to be betrayed.
She wants eyes that can see in to her soul and see that her soul is aching for him. She wants to be a friend, a lover, his confidante, his protection as much as he is hers. She is willing to fight tooth and nail for him. If only he would step forth and show her that he is willing to fight for her as well.
She wants to be loved for what she brings into a relationship. She is quirky, funny, silly, amazingly sweet and naughty at the same time. She loves to play and laugh. She loves pillow fights and playful wrestling. She has a quick temper when she is stressed and a potty mouth to go with it. She loves holding hands, and the simplistic way it makes her heart beat harder.
She wants for her man to look at her like he won first prize and that prize is her. To see her more precious than all the priceless gems of the world, to be a treasure worth guarding, a possessive heart and soul. A man who will stand tall and not let her get her way when she wants something she really doesn’t need.
She doesn’t care what he makes, where he works, what he drives or anything materialistic, she desires his life source, his eyes, his heart, his mind and most importantly his soul.
When she loves, she doesn’t do it in halves, she loves whole heartedly. She doesn’t believe in only being there half way. It’s either all the way or no way with her.
She is tired of being alone, she just wants to be loved for who she is. I am her and I want to know what real love is.
