It's been so long since I've posted on here. Not sure if any of you are still about. 9 years ago I met a woman (who later came out as non-binary) and we fell in love. They left me 2 months ago, just 2 weeks before our 9 year anniversary. Things are OK now. We've talked a lot and we're best friends and I realise we weren't right for each other. But I'm in pain still. They're with someone new now and they seem much better suited. I'm unbelievably happy for them. They've found someone they think would be perfect for me and I agree this new person sounds amazing and ticks all the boxes my ex wasn't able to. So am now longing for this new person who barely knows I exist. I'm OK. But I'm so much older now, being 29 and I feel like I am starting again. I spent my entire 20s with this person. A little lost, but excited for the future and a more fulfilling and loving relationship. Hopefully this new girl likes me.
