And last, but not least, I've finally done Katsuro Kojima's outfits!
A man born and raised in Kagoshima, Kyushu, Katsuro grew up in his father’s shadow. In Katsuro’s time in secondary school, his father was forced to give up the mantle and take up gardening in his retirement. During those years, Katsuro had taken interest in Western Folklore with tales of knights traveling to distant lands to rescue maidens; helping those in-need along their journey. Upon discovering this, Katsuro had taken up chivalry, using his immense strength and sharp wisdom to help the local townsfolk. However, one fateful day, a monster attacked Kyushu. And thanks to Katsuro’s swift and decisive victory, he got noticed by the DNG; an agency set on protecting the world from various threats. During his training, he met Kamiko. He found her bright and sunny nature rather charming, and as they shared the same goal of protecting others, Katsuro and Kamiko decided to move in together.
Katsuro at-first appears to be stoic and emotionally distant. This is due to his upbringing as his father was a former WW2 veteran who sought to bring Japan back to its glory days. However, due to the American occupation, he had no choice but to imprint his pipe dream onto his only son, Katsuro. He only tends to open up his emotions to his loved ones, including Kamiko. Kamiko is making an active effort to have him express more of his emotions. To Katsuro, Kamiko is akin to a close sibling who brightens a room with her presence. Though, her chaotic nature can test Katsuro’s patience at times.
Katsuro uses his broad and beefy body to its fullest potential. He keeps his Herculean figure by strenuous weight training. Especially due to the fact that his specialized armor and broadsword are quite hefty. Katsuro is the tank to Kamiko’s rush-down, being able to take major damage while dishing it out two-fold! He can also temporarily bulk himself up (about 1.5x his muscle mass, MAX) through his armor, if needed. Though, much like his partner, the adrenaline from combat can make Katsuro get carried away; to the point where it strains himself and his power armor. Same goes for his workouts, as sometimes what started off as a form of physical meditation becomes a way to vent out excess energy. Thankfully, these moments are rare, and even rarer in non-combat situations. Besides bodybuilding, Katsuro took up some of his father’s love of gardening. He’s also adept in the culinary arts, often cooking meals for Kamiko; with donkatsu as his specialty.
Rumor has is that Katsuro has his emerald eyes set on a peculiar, raven-haired princess of Honnouji… With him also having close contacts with the Four Devas. Gamagori’s the “enforcer” and Satsuki’s shield, Uzu’s the athletic punk and one of Satsuki’s retainers, whilst Katsuro is stoic, level-headed protector who serves as Satsuki’s sword. Although, due to his upbringing, Katsuro initially saw Satsuki as a sort of goddess who he must serve due to her palpable ambition. Thankfully, he sees the humanity in Satsuki and respects her as an individual, so Kats’ perception of her is not completely skewed. Basically, Katsuro had a ”Hellfire” moment and assumed that God led him to this path (his years of knight training in order to become a protector of a ruler, that in this case being Satsuki). Though, due to his self-inflicted upbringing, his suppressed emotions was a source of internal conflict for a while, as he didn’t know how to exactly express his love (and lust) for Satsuki Kiryuin.
