“THAT’S IT?!” That was really all they planned to do? But that didn’t make any sense! Plus, the fusion wanted her to join them? But she- wait, magician? Peridot was just getting more and more confused as the other spoke, but her last point certainly did sound appealing- being able to relax? That would be amazing. Plus, it wasn’t like Yellow Diamond planned on sending anyone to pick her up soon, so what choice did she have? She wasn’t exactly feeling very safe with that hammer at her feet every few seconds. She skidded to a halt, hoping the fusion wouldn’t trip over her or something.

“That being said, darling, if you do try to escape, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I am more than happy to use.”

“SO WHAT EXACTLY WILL HAPPEN IF I GO WILLINGLY?” Another ground shaking slam, and once again the Gem found herself sailing through the air for a moment, as if she was some cartoon character. The fusion was having fun at Peridot’s expense, and that hammer just kept getting closer…

“After that, you get the honor of being asked a few simple questions, and then not being killed, assuming you behave. I don’t want to kill you, Peridot. I’d much rather you joined us, think of all the potential! You could be a magician yet with those fingers of yours.” Clearly, the fusion was losing track of what she was meant to be doing ever so slightly. “That, and the others and I will stop chasing you. No more living in fear!”

“Say, how flexible are you? Could you fit in a small box?”

“Anyways, welcome to Beach City Sardonyx, I hope you enjoy you’re stay! Nice outfit by the way, are you some kind of performer?”

“Thats about… Six of you so far, I think?”

“Aaaah!” The hammer slamming into the ground to close to her actually lifted her into the air for a moment, but not long. She came crashing down, only just managing to recover quickly enough to continue running as if it hadn’t happened. “SO IT’S SURRENDER AND DIE LATER, OR DIE NOW? I’D RATHER TAKE MY CHANCES WITH YOUR DUMB HAMMER!”

“I can’t promise you’ll be in one piece for long!”

Snark or run? The answer was obvious, but unfortunately, it would mean losing her life. Luckily, she had a backup plan. Both. The Gem immediately span on her heel, running in the other direction. But, of course, she made sure to look back at the giant behind her to yell “YOU COULDN’T SMASH THE BROAD SIDE OF A HOMEWORLD STAR CRUISER WITH THAT THING!”

“That was a warning - now one last chance, come with me, or I take you back injured, or back inside your Gem.”

“I…ugm….it’s been some time, I’ve…been like this for a while. You just haven’t seen me.. uhm…this way…”

Sardonyx pressed two of her hands to her cheeks as she looked at Yue. “Your hair is every kind of stunning! I’m almost jealous.”

“The mayor of Beach City? Isn’t this an honor!” Somewhat. Be polite, she told herself, he’s done nothing to you. “Is there something you needed?”

“You know, im starting to think we should put the announcement of arrival law back into effect. Because you giant ladies have been showing a whole lot lately!”

“This is as strange as it gets - seeing one half of myself! No wonder I look so fine all the time, you look absolutely divine today, Pearl!”

Sardonyx’s eyes lit up, a larger than life grin spread across her face, “Stevonnie! I have been dying to meet you and at last I have!” She crouched, moving a hand to pat the top of Stevonnie’s head with one finger. “Hopefully you’re as excited as I am!”
