Life is too short to chase anything other than Jannah.

“Our Lord, do not make our hearts deviate after having guided us, and bestow on us mercy from Your Presence; You are the Giver.”

The path to Allah is precious, and steadfastness is precious, and the Qur'an is precious. Everything that is for the sake of Allah, the Exalted, is precious and difficult to attain because behind it is a valuable reward that is worth the effort of souls striving to reach it.
