Highway Signs

NV-322 at US-93 in Pioche, Nevada.  The lettering on the signs almost appear to be brushed on with a paint brush.  Pioche is the Lincoln County seat between Las Vegas and Ely.

End UT-148 at UT-14 in Iron County, Utah. UT-14 is designated as the Markagunt High Plateau Scenic Byway.

Begin NV-488 East, leaving Great Basin National Park. NV-488 is designated a Nevada State Scenic Byway.

UT-30 west in Box Elder County, Utah. UT-30 connects I-84 near Snowville, UT with I-80 at Oasis, Nevada. A very remote stretch of road that goes through a few blink and you'll miss them kind if towns.

Idaho 78 east at Idaho 45.  Use Idaho 45 north for Nampa; use Idaho 78 east for Murphy.  Another in a series from a drive around southwest Idaho last week.

Idaho's newest state highway - Idaho 167.  Idaho 167 was created from the section of Idaho 67 running between Mountain Home Air Force Base and Grand View.  Idaho 67 replaced former Idaho 67 Spur between the Mountain Home Air Force Base Main Gate, and the new Idaho 167/Idaho 67 junction.  Taken at the south end of Simco Road, in rural Elmore County.

I-86/US-30 onramps at Exit 28 - Massacre Rocks State Park.  Use I-86/US-30 west for Twin Falls.  Use I-86/US-30 east for American Falls and Pocatello.  Notice the I-86 shield contains the word "Idaho."  Most of the interstate shields within the state have no state name on them.   The state name is generally only on the older interstate shields, and there are only a few places in the state that I have seen this.

Onramp to I-70 at Exit 108 - Ranch Exit.  Taken in the San Rafael Reef country in rural Emery County between Green River, Utah and Salina, Utah.

Begin Alternate US-95 north, in Schurz, Nevada, at US-95.  Alternate US-95 parallels US-95 to the west north to Fernley.  From Fernley, Alternate US-95 joins I-80, rejoining US-95 in rural Churchill County.
