We Ain't Got Answers

“Did you have another idea for tonight’s dinner?”

      “Yeah, actually. I’ve got a good plan for dinner. Mind       just trusting me on it? Since y’know tomorrow night’s       dinner will be fine.”

          ‘ okay, no, i’m not going to wear bean sprouts, obviously. but you know what i can do with them? cook. people are always up and arms about culinary expertise. haven’t you ever seen a cooking show? ‘

      “Of course I’ve seen a cooking show. I just don’t see       how that’s a good thing to really get excited about.       There’s probably more you can do with potatoes. Or       wheat. Why don’t you get excited over bread because       of the possibilities? What’s so special about beans’s       really my point.”

          ‘ i rebuke that statement. you’ve seen heavens and madame herringbone together. she gets him excited over… over… fabrics, or double breasted… pockets, or whatever. it isn’t my fault no one else can see the marvels of bean sprouts. ‘

      “Yeah, but that’s her job and Goods is real       passionate about looking nice. There’s a difference.       You planning on showing off your beans all day?       Or working with ‘em? You wanna wear bean       sprouts?”

          ‘ what’s not exciting about bean sprouts??? for starters, they’re delicious! and second?? they go with so many things! tofu, stir fry, pasta salads… the possibilities are limitless!!! ‘ 

      “Vet, it’s just food. Y’don’t see me getting excited       about my favorite food and you don’t see... anyone       getting this excited about anything. You’ve gotta       take a breath and realize that the possibilities got       limitations and you ain’t gonna get anyone this excited        ‘bout bean spouts of all things.”
