“Aaaw, lil Owen cares about lil ol’ me. How sweet~!” She continued, putting one hand to her cheek and the other to her chest dramatically. “The world must be ending! O h what magic has fallen upon him??” She faked a faint, fanning herself.

Owen gritted his teeth, “Ugh, I shouldn’t have even said anything.” God, if he could blush, his entire face would be red by now. “Stop, stopppp. C’mon, ya don’t have to say all that--”

She stared at Owen for a moment, honestly a bit thrown off by the compliment. She didn’t really get those often, and really didn’t expect one from a guy like him. She smiled genuinely and nodded. “Thanks, Owen…You’re not goin soft on me now, are you?” Twee batted her eyes teasingly.

“Me? Going soft? You’re c r a z y.” Owen rolled his eyes and snickered. He looked to Krissy, who was now curled onto his lap, then back at Twee. He frowned a little and shrugged his shoulders. “All I’m doing is stating the truth.”

“Temporarily.” She explained. “Until I get a job and apartment or whatever, not easy to get those though.” Twee fiddled with her hair, shrugging. “I guess?..Not really..Just people that make small talk with me. I don’t mind,though.”

“Oh. Uh... you’re pretty nice.” Owen muttered. It wasn’t often he gave someone a compliment and actually meant it. He stopped petting the kitten for a second and raised an eyebrow. “You should have more friends.”
