i predicament is the word “orange”.

my parents and brother pronounce it “ah-renge”

but my sister and i pronounce it “or- renge”

what’s the right way to pronounce it?

the reason that i put labels on myself- aromantic, bisexual, etc- is because if i didn’t put a word to it, connect it with something, i would feel lost. i wouldn’t know what this feeling inside of me was and i would be even more confused. the label also helps me feel like maybe i’m not alone in how i feel. maybe someone else understands and i’m not just this freak.

whenever i watch something at my yia yias house, she says: what gay, trans, whatever thing are you watching now?

not in a condescending way, because she actually tries to understand the show and asks questions and stuff so like i love her she’s amazing

and then in the car today i had a discussion with my mom about love simon and love victor, because i’m currently very obsessed.

and i didn’t know how to respond without outing myself so i said “... represention...?”
