"But was a race of heaven."
Tom kissed the top of her head and laughed lightly as he breathed in the sweet scent of her hair. He really couldn't believe that they were an actual couple. He knew the best things in life were worth waiting for, as his Mum had always told him. And he was just as thankful to have had listened to her sound advice. The cabbie inquired about an address and Tom answered, "N3W area please."The sun was already setting as they made their way toward Tom's flat. The red and gold colours of the last sunlight painted streaks across the sky. Tom held Jaimie close as he couldn't help but steal fleeting glances at her. It was small moments such as these, that he'd pack away the memories of their time together. The comfortable silence they shared often, knowing exactly how the other was feeling, almost thinking at times.
"I'm sure you must be starved love, I hope you don't mind that I have a small dinner prepared for us?" In truth he had spent most of the afternoon preparing a somewhat lavish meal. Ever since his time in New Guinea and taking on the U.N. Hunger challenge, Tom learned to be less wasteful and had actually taken up cooking. He hoped she would love it.
