I know its been a while but I didn’t have the chance when i first got back to post this. I met Tom Hiddleston at Wheatland Music Festival 2014 in Remus Michigan. I was so excited. This was the first time i have met a celebrity. And he was so polite! He was practicing being a country western star for the Upcoming movie I See the Light where he plays Hank Williams.

Tom has been living with Rodney Crowell in preparation for his upcoming role as Hank Williams. Just so happens that Rodney was performing at the Wheatland Music Festival in Remus, Michigan this weekend and Tom tagged along with to practice performing. Grant and I were watching another performer, Sarah Jarosz from the “backstage” area. Just so happens that Tom was watching as well. He took a seat next to Grant and I and had a chat with Grant about his musical background and the role. He even talked to us after to see how he did on stage. He’s such a genuinely nice person.

Totally agree love. Plus, can you imagine how nervous he was? I could hear it a bit in his voice. To get up on a stage in the fucking Midwest no less and sing a classic C&W song in front of people who for the most part didn’t have a fucking clue what was going on, is fucking courageous. And, I applaud him for it. And, it is brilliant marketing for the movie. Like I told calgal48, if you he does this a few more times before he starts filming, he is building an even bigger fan base, and that movie will rocket to the top.

I couldn’t have said more perfectly. I admire Tom’s courage and conviction of his talent and ability to do what ever he sets his mind to! If any one recalls in a couple of his interviews about his RADA training he stated very frankly that part of their training and education was working on your weaknesses not your strengths and d-m-jonas you hit the nail right on the head baby! I’m from Ohio and country music fans are very unforgiving! lol I think sometimes people really forget how smart Tom is he knows exactly what he’s doing! He’s going to be just fine! There are a lot of so called “singers” in the music industry who are frikin millionaires off of “auto tune” Y’all gonna see the light!

Yeah…I know he’ll be able to pull it off for the movie. As someone who lives in Texas, I know that a lot of die hard country people are kind of pissed that a British dude is gonna play Hank…but I think he’s going to work his ass off to do it, and I think he’ll be able to.

The performance needed a little work, especially in keeping the accent, but overall, I think he put forth a hell of an effort, and had some major fucking cohones to get up there and try it to begin with. I loved seeing him playing guitar, and anyone who has ever been to one of those festivals knows how shitty the sound mix is anyway. I give him an A for effort, and look forward to him developing that twang. He’s a hell of an actor, and he’ll make us proud.
