Do you remember how Part 1 of Season 2 of Wednesday stopped right at the moment when Tyler, in Hyde form, threw Wednesday out the window, and there were countless theories that maybe it wasn’t him, since we didn’t actually see it?
Today, after rewatching both seasons and going through dozens of TikTok edits - where everyone talks about the moment when Wednesday and Enid swapped bodies and went to save Agnes, which eventually led to Wednesday turning into a werewolf while in Enid’s body - I started thinking about something.
Here’s what I mean- the iconic moment when Tyler pushes Wednesday (Enid) away from the door and slams it shut, trying to trap Enid (Wednesday). Even though it’s obvious the girls wouldn’t hurt each other, and even if they did, following that logic: if Tyler had pushed them both inside with the werewolf, he would’ve solved two problems at once.
So why did he push her away from the door?
And here I want to go back to the moment when Wednesday was thrown out the window. Let’s remember that Tyler had just lost his master, and as Wednesday learned, despite trying to fight it, Hyde is bound to their master. Over time, they begin to lose themselves, even their memories. So if Tyler - and especially his Hyde - no longer had a master, the line between Laurel’s influence and Tyler’s own consciousness and desires started to blur.
The moment when Tyler, as Hyde, stopped right in front of Wednesday… If he really hated her that much and wanted her dead, why would her words matter? Why would he care what she would do, standing there in front of Hyde?
Maybe throwing Wednesday out the window was his way of protecting her - from that part of Hyde he can’t control after losing his master. Hyde’s strength is enormous, which we see many times. If Tyler had thrown her just a little harder, he could have killed her. But instead, with his last strength, he tried to regain control and send her to the hospital.

In the post I’m referring to, Tyler compares the machine to a monster, but only when he talks about its broken state. This may suggest that from the very beginning he saw himself in a similar way - as something “broken.”
Broken things can either be fixed or thrown away.
When Tyler ends up with Laurel, his first master, she sees him exactly like that - as an object that, once “fixed,” can become perfect. The problem is that Laurel doesn’t understand the instructions. You could say she is like Tyler trying to fix a coffee machine without knowing Italian - she tries through trial and error, but the results are uncertain and questionable.
Wednesday, on the other hand, fixes the machine without much trouble. She knows the language in which the instructions were written and understands them from beginning to end. The same applies to her relationship with Tyler - Wednesday is the only character who fully understands the darkness within him. She understands him and is able to “fix” what others cannot even see.

I know a lot of people ship Wednesday x Enid, and I genuinely understand why - I really do. But despite that, the romantic dynamic of their relationship just doesn’t speak to me. Just hear me out.
I love the way their relationship evolves from episode to episode. The way they find balance without a thick, dividing line between them — without a wall. It feels more like a gate: something that allows them to see each other, to maintain a healthy relationship while respecting each other’s space. And yet they know each other so well that when one of them decides to step through that gate, the other welcomes her with open arms. That’s beautiful. That’s the definition of the kind of friendship Wednesday was searching for - without even realizing it.
Let’s remember that Wednesday isn’t exactly a social soul. Forming friendships doesn’t come easily to her, even if Enid is often the one taking the initiative. Their bond required time, arguments, sacrifices, and compromises to truly exist. That’s precisely why it’s so valuable.
It’s different from love or infatuation - those can hit us suddenly, unexpectedly, even against our will. Friendship, especially one as strong and unique as theirs, needs time.
And that’s exactly why I can’t - even theoretically - imagine this relationship turning romantic. I’m afraid they could lose something so precious for the sake of a feeling that might be temporary. Especially the friendship that Wednesday worked so hard to build.
