syai's random yet deep and curious thoughts of today 💭
today I’ve been really thinking about what the true guideline is and what our role truly entails.
especially as counselors when facing the challenges of modern trends, social media influences and the hearts of those we aim to guide.
how can we remain sincere in our efforts, share wisdom effectively and *plant seeds of understanding* even when the world seems indifferent or distracted?
>>> reflection for this dear self especially 💌
💭 why do we need to dakwah and what is the true guideline of hikmah?
dakwah is more than sharing knowledge. it is a sacred responsibility to guide hearts toward Allah. Allah commands us to call “with wisdom and beautiful exhortation,” which teaches us that the method, timing and manner of our words are as important as their content.
the true guideline of hikmah lies in knowing our role and using knowledge wisely: we are not the ones to force change, nor to judge the readiness of others. our role is to share what we know with sincerity, patience and clarity, tailoring it to the listener’s capacity, so the message can be absorbed gently.
sometimes, despite our best effort, the heart may not respond immediately and that is part of the divine plan. our task is only to plant seeds, some of which may bloom much later, in ways we will never see. but Allah always sees.
💭 why does the path of Ikhlas feel so lonely sometimes?
the path of calling to Allah often feels solitary bcs our heart resonates differently from others. those who truly strive to guide with sincerity may feel misunderstood or unseen. but Allah reminds us that steadfast souls are never truly alone.
Indeed, those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remain steadfast angels descend upon them, saying: ‘Do not fear and do not grieve but receive glad tidings of Paradise which you were promised.’”_ {41:30}
just as angels descend upon those who say “Our Lord is Allah” and remain firm, we are accompanied by unseen guardians and our efforts are noted.
the loneliness is a test of sincerity, refining your intention and deepening your reliance on Allah. the world may not respond yet Allah’s support is constant. solitude on this path is a sacred space where your heart learns to rely solely on Allah’s pleasure, not human acknowledgment.
💭 what's the motivation to steadfast?
“And who is better in speech than one who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds, and says, ‘Indeed, I am among the Muslims.’” {41:33}
the ultimate motivation to remain steadfast is found in the beautiful balance between words, deeds and identity. One who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds and declares their belonging to Him, achieves the highest excellence in speech and action.
even when our efforts feel small, they are profound because they reflect alignment with Allah’s purpose. this ayah reminds us: the measure of our work is not applause from others but the sincerity of our heart and the impact of our deeds in Allah’s eyes.
steadfastness is built by remembering that every call, every gentle advice, every righteous action. no matter how unseen is shaping our soul and those who may eventually be touched. our consistency is itself an act of worship, a testimony of love for Allah and a planting of seeds whose harvest belongs entirely to Him.
