Iâve had a rough week, so Iâve decided I want to spread a little joy instead of being grumpy.
If you want to play, let me know and Iâll drop something in your inbox. It could be a random question, a âwould you rather,â a fun scenario involving one of our favorite characters, or honestly whatever my brain comes up with.
The only rule is that you need to be following me.
Come say hi and letâs have some fun. I could use the distraction, and hopefully I can brighten someone elseâs day too.
Loved the new ormund x spice shop owner fic!!!!! Iâd love to see what happens to them next!!!!
Youâre in luck, Iâm nearly done with another part of the story. Hereâs a sneak peek!

Where the light endures (2/?)
Summary: After the death of your husband and Daeron's ascension to the Iron Throne, you are summoned to King's Landing to discuss your future. Pairing: Gwayne Hightower x F!Reader (past Ormund Hightower x F!Reader) Word Count: 3.3.K Warning: Eventually 18+ only. This chapter includes brief references to past physical and emotional abuse (Ormund is a warning himself, okay?). Some spoilers for Fire and Blood. A/N: No use of Y/N. Reader's house is not named and there is no physical descriptions of her given. Thank you so much to @exxotiic and @romeliann for beta reading and @starlitflora and @aninhatatu for listening to me yell about Gwayne and this fic. Please comment or reblog if you enjoyed this and want to see more. Or scream at me in my inbox. That always makes my day.
Part 1
For the first time in years you sleep deeply.
There is nothing extraordinary about the bed or the quiet night air, although both are comforting. This is a strange place, far from the halls you have known all your life, yet some part of you settles here.
It surprises you.
When Ormund died and the relief you expected never came, you feared it never would. Perhaps you were destined to carry that dread beneath your skin forever. But when you wake the next morning in Kingâs Landing, something feels different. You feel lighter. Not whole, but lighter.
As you begin to dress for the day, a servant arrives to request you join the King to break your fast. Margery helps prepare you, dressing in another black mourning gown, though this time you leave the veil behind. You slip your ring on your finger, readying yourself for the day.
Without thinking, your hand reaches toward one of the many small glass vials on your vanity. You uncork it, your body remembering the motion before your mind catches up. Lavender blooms in the air. And you freeze.
The Red Keep fades around you, replaced by another room, another morning. The memory comes not as a thought, but as a sensation. The ache in your body, the grip of his hands, the sharp edge of his voice filling the silence.
Your fingers tighten around the glass. For a long moment you donât move. Then, with shaking hands, you set it back among the others.
"Please," you begin, your voice catching and you force it steady. "Please see that these are removed."
"Of course, my lady," Margery says gently. "Would you like new scented waters?"
You shake your head.
"No. And see to it there is no more lavender in my baths. Or rose.â
Margery dips her head. "Yes, my lady."
Hi, dear! In your series Stand by me -(before the stalker situation with Jimmy), what was reader and Rhettâs thoughts of each other? Also what did they think of each other in high school? Did they ever interact with one another?
Bestie, it has been SO long since Iâve inhabited this universe that I legitimately had to go back and reread the entire series đ And oh boy, do I suddenly want to resurrect a four-year-old story lol.
But to answer your question, in Stand by Me, Reader was definitely aware of Rhett. They live in a small town where everyone knows everyone, and she had a reputation for being the studious, nerdy type. I like to think she probably tutored him at least once, and she absolutely left that interaction with a crush, going home and imagining what it might be like to actually date him.
He definitely thought she was cute and sweet, but he was far too hung up on Monica, drinking, and generally being a problem for his teachers for anything to happen.
This story is basically the definition of she fell first, but he fell harder.
Send me an asks for backstory info on any/all of my fics.

saying âi want himâ about the character but not in a romantic or sexual way . i just Require him i need to Obtain him
For Gwayne Hightower.
I kind of need one where he helps his lady wife with birth. I think he would actually be helpfulđ
I can just imagine him arriving at the keep after riding hard to get home in time, only to find you already deep in labor. The maester tries to stop him at the door, insisting that this is no place for a man, trying to dissuade him that there will be blood, pain, and things no husband should have to witness.
But Gwayne has seen far worse on the battlefield.
âDo not ask me to abandon my wife when she needs me,â he replies, his attention fixed on the door behind the maester, where you are fighting to bring their child into the world.
Gwayne can hear your cries of pain and rushes to your side. He takes your hand in his, letting you squeeze until his knuckles pale, and presses his other palm against your damp brow. He kisses your temple, murmuring quiet words meant only for you. He reassures you that you are safe, that you are doing beautifully, that he is here and he is not leaving.
Whenever fear overwhelms you or the pain becomes too much, you look to him. Those blue-green eyes remain steady and certain, filled with so much love. The way he looks at you makes you feel as though you are the strongest woman in the world.
When your child finally arrives and is placed in his arms, he is utterly lost in the very best way. Because there, in that tiny face, he sees a perfect little blend of the two of you.
And more than that, he stares at you in wonder. Witnessing what you endured to deliver his child is the most amazing thing he has ever seen.
You mentioned maybe starting up another part of your Aemond/Reader fic and just here to say how much Iâd loooove that!!! Read it back in the day and have been wondering abt them ever since!!! Youâre such a talented writer <3 thank you for sharing all these beautiful works with us!!!
Thank you anon!
Aemond has had an....interesting season so far (and those Hightower men have captured my muse), but I really enjoyed writing that story.

Here's a little sneak peek!
When the evening wanes and the wine flows freely someone calls for the bedding to begin. You look to your father, fearful, but he has no power here.
You donât dare turn your gaze to Aemond.Â
Instead, you bow your head, staring at your lap as your fingers knot together so tightly your knuckles ache. The thought of dozens of hands tearing at your gown, of strangers eagerly baring your skin before the court, is enough to make bile rise in your throat.
"Silence."
Aemond's voice cracks through the hall like thunder. His chair scrapes violently across the stone as he rises, and every conversation dies at once.
You flinch. Your breaths come quick and shallow.
"There will be no bedding," he declares.
Your head snaps up in surprise. He does not look at you. His gaze remains fixed on the hall before him, his mouth set in a hard, furious line.
âIt is tradition," the King bemoans, watching you with wet, hungry eyes.
"Not tonight," Aemond says, his voice low enough to promise violence. "Unless those eager to uphold tradition wish to find themselves gelded."
Aegon opens his mouth to argue, well into his cups already, but Queen Alicent lays a gentle hand upon his forearm. Whatever she murmurs draws a scowl from him, and with an exaggerated sigh he slumps back into his chair.
"My brother," the King mutters with a drunken grin. "Always such a bore."
A muscle jumps in Aemond's jaw. He offers the King no reply.
He hauls you to your feet with little regard for your comfort. You stumble, wincing as his grip tightens, but he neither notices nor cares. One arm bands around your waist while the other clamps around your forearm, drawing you half a step ahead of him, your body guided entirely by the pressure of his hands.Â
Without another word, he marches you from the feast.
Omg loooooved your new gwayne x reader!!!! Lady Hightower comforting daeron at the end, the unspoken tension between her and gwayne, unwin peake being as unpleasant as ever!!!!!! Also excited to witness the fallout if the greens winning!!!! Do the dragons persist? What became of tessarion? How is Alicent navigating these new waters? What became of Rhaenyra? Who are the surviving blacks and howâre they navigating all of these things? Thereâs such rich soil here to grow whatever you wish! And Daeron adjusting to kingship!! My baby!!! Loved it <3333
Ahhh I love asks like this about Where the light endures! They give me so much inspiration to write!!!
I can't answer all of these questions as they will slowly be revealed over the next few chapters but in the meantime, please enjoy this little preview. It answers one question at least.
The table is filled with so much food, itâs nearly overwhelming. You hesitate, unsure where to begin until a small pile of pale, golden pastries at the center catch your eye.
Lemon cakes.
You have not had them in years. Ormund hated the scent of citrus and vanilla. He said they were too cloying.Â
Eagerly, you pick one up, the sticky glaze clinging to your fingertips. The first bite brings a sweetness you had almost forgotten, a rich buttery taste brightened by the sharpness of the lemon.Â
You make a small, pleased sound before you can help yourself.
âMy uncle said you would like them,â Daeron reveals with a smile.Â
You look to Gwayne, surprised.
He holds your gaze for only a heartbeat before looking away. His Adamâs apple bobs as he swallows, his thumb tracing once along the rim of his cup. Something like discomfort flickers across his face.
âThey were always served at your fatherâs hall,â Gwayne says after a moment. âI remember them being brought out after supper.â
âThey were my favorite,â you reply.
Gwayne looks back at you, and for a long moment neither of you speaks.
âI have never seen you eat them before,â Daeron says, breaking the silence.
You glance back toward him. âOrmund was not fond of them,â you say simply, reaching for another.
Daeronâs smile fades slightly, and you immediately regret the admission. You open your mouth, searching for something lighter to say.
Before you can, Alicent speaks.
âHelaena, darling. Come eat before the food gets cold.â
Her daughter does not answer. She does not even look up, continuing to speak softly to the little girl in her lap. Alicentâs mouth presses into a thin line, but she does not call for her again. Instead, she turns back to the table, smoothing her expression into something more pleasant.

âOdours have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions or will. It enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it.â- Patrick SĂŒskind
The little bell above your shop door gives its familiar trill as someone steps inside, bringing with them the noise of the bustling street. For a brief moment, the quiet of your shop is shattered before the heavy wooden door swings shut, sealing it away.
The summer day is already growing hot, but your shop remains pleasantly cool. Thick stone walls keep the worst of the heat at bay, preserving the delicate scents that linger in every corner. Bundles of dried lavender and rosemary hang from the rafters beside fragrant eucalyptus, sweet herbs, and flowering branches. Shelves are crowded with glass bottles of scented oils, linen sachets, and small pots filled with fragrant pomanders.
You brush your hands against your apron as you make your way from the back room, a neatly wrapped parcel tucked beneath one arm. It has become a familiar routine. Nearly every afternoon, someone from Lord Hightower's household comes to collect another order.Â

When you are a girl, you dream of the day you will marry a true knight who will love you as faithfully as the heroes in the songs.
Your father promises he will find you a good and honorable lord to wed. He speaks of great castles beyond the Reach and noble houses far from home, but your heart seeks another much closer than the distant lords your father imagines.
You long for Gwayne Hightower, looking forward to the days he visits alongside his father. There is a tenderness in him that seems so absent from the men around you. Even the simple courtesy of the way he presses a kiss to the back of your hand feels like something out of the songs you cherish. You imagine a day he might look upon you the same.
It is a dream you guard closely, never daring to give it voice for fear that speaking it aloud will make it vanish. Yet you hold onto the hope that once your sister is wed to his cousin, Lord Ormund, your father might look kindly upon such a match.
Then sickness comes, and with it the Stranger. He claims your sister and the future you imagined. Dury destroys what little remains. Â
Weeks later, it is you who stands beneath the vaulted ceiling of the Starry Sept and accepts the richly embroidered bride cloak from Lord Ormund Hightower as sunlight pours through the windows. Â
His eyes are impossibly blue and gentle, his bearing every inch the noble lord the stories have promised. You believe him kind. You believe him true.
That illusion does not survive the night.

You watch Gwayneâs reflection in the mirror as you prepare for bed. Your husband sits at his desk, shoulders drawn tight beneath the weight of whatever burdens his thoughts. Parchment lies scattered across the worn wood, ink staining his fingertips. The groove between his brows deepens as the quill in his hand pauses its frantic pace, something clearly troubling him.
Normally, you would have been beside him, helping him work through his correspondence, but not tonight. Despite the way you kept your hand tucked into the crook of his elbow and danced with him at Lord Tyrell's feast earlier that evening, you were still angry over his careless remark that morning. The sting of it had yet to fade despite his efforts, and you were not ready to forgive him, not that anyone else would have guessed anything was amiss tonight.Â
"Are you still cross with me, little wife?" he asks, catching your attention through the mirror.Â

Hiii I saw that u had Drabbles open for gwayne hightower, so is it okay if I request a Drabble of how heâd be as a husband ,like domestic life with him. Also, how heâd react if getting in an argument with his wife/how would he make up with her . (U donât have to do this btw but if u decide to, thank uuuuu!!)
Hi new friend!!! I LOVE getting asks like these.
I feel like Gwayne would actually be pretty wonderful husband, especially in the world of HotD. He comes across as a kind and genuinely loving man. That said, it wouldn't be easy. He would likely be called away often because of his duties, and there would always be the looming possibility of him dying in battle.Â
Family would probably be his greatest priority, even if that occasionally came into conflict with his strong sense of duty. From the show, we know he played a significant role in raising Daeron, and he's likely a big reason Daeron grew up to be such a kind and honorable person. If you had children together I think he'd be a very involved father, doing far more than was typically expected of men at the time.Â
He would also write to you whenever he was away. His letters would be thoughtful and even a little poetic, sharing his experiences as well everything weighing on his mind.Â
He would genuinely value your opinions and include you in conversations that many noble husbands of the time wouldn't. At the same time, I do think he'd believe he had the final say when it came to major decisions. That doesn't mean he'd be dismissive or controlling but he feels it was ultimately his responsibility to make the final decision, especially if he believed it was for the good of his family.
As for the argument, I'm actually working on a little drabble for you.
I have a feeling he'd be infuriatingly charming when trying to make it up to you, especially once he's decided the argument is over and it's past time for the two of you to reconcile. He doesn't strike me as the sort of man who lets these things linger.
You watch your husband's reflection in the mirror, pretending to get ready for bed. Gwayne sits at his desk, parchment scattered across its surface and ink staining his fingertips.
The sting of it had yet to fade, and you were not ready to forgive him, not that anyone would have guessed anything was amiss. No matter your quarrels, you and Gwayne always strove to present a dignified apperance.
"Are you still angry with me, little wife?" he asks, catching your eye.
A small half-smile tugs at one corner of his mouth, lending him a roguishly charming look. Your own brows draw together in annoyance, and you purse your lips. Your lack of response is more than enough to answer his question.
He stands, his hands settling on his hips in a pose that might have been imposing, were he wearing more than a half-tied dressing gown. Flickering candlelight casts shifting shadows across his torso, deepening the lines of lean muscle. You breathe in through your nose, your fingers curling against the wood of the vanity.Â
âSo angry you canât even speak,â he muses. âOr does something else still your tongue?â
âI will let you know when I wish to speak to you again,â you reply airily, busying yourself with arranging the jewelry you wore earlier inside its carved wooden box.
Random thought for the night.
Ormond definitely has a kink for bathing you and massaging special perfumed oils into your skin. The scent changes to suit his current desire. But you have to smell exactly how he wants you to (or in some cases just like him).
Also that man sniffs you like a bloodhound after youâve been apart, growing handsy and possessive the moment he catches even the faintest hint of someone else's scent lingering on you.
