I’m not even a Peggy girlie, but I can’t think of many more misogynistic things to do to the first woman in the MCU to have her own show, than to write over the narrative where she grieves and moves on and shoehorn her in as the “prize” for a male character. Literally sacrificing her story and its coherence to prop up the creator’s view that a stable, monogamous heterosexual relationship is the happiest ending Steve could have gotten— never mind the fact that he’s known most of the Avengers for longer than he knew her.
