the one who reads books and the one who steals glances
ok i got this from my instagram so here is the summary/request kinda? hahha
a wonhao au where they live across the street form each other, their windows directly opposite. everyday wonwoo sits for hours reading while minghao steals glances. he thinks he’s subtle but of course, wonwoo knows.
it was a regular saturday evening. Minghao is supposed to be doing his work. note the supposed. nope. nowadays, he’s been distracted by the bookworm cutie living opposite his house. and his desk is near the window. so of course he’s gonna daydream. especially when the cutie had his nose stuck in book. cause honestly, how many guys do you know nowadays are bookworms?? Minghao kept staring out his window until chring chring
apparently it was his mom calling him cause he didn’t hear her calling for him while she was in the kitchen. knowing it was obviuosly gonna be important, he rushed down the stairs to help his mother, not notcing the cutie’s eyes follow him out of the room.
‘hey ma. whatcha need??’ Minghao asked cause with asian mothers, you always have to ask.
‘well i was thinking. it has been quite a while since we asked the neighbours over for dinner and well honestly i cooked too much for dinner and i don’t want to have leftovers. so be a dear and invite the neighbours over will ya?? the ones living opposite us?? thanks.’ she said, obviously in rush as she ran over to the stove, where she left her onions on the frying pan.
Minghao left his house with a spring in his step as he made his way to the neighbor’s house. woah thanks ma, coincidence much? meh, I’ll make use of it. within a minute, he was the door of his neighbor’s house. knock knock. one second goes by, another second. Minghao was about to leave but the door creaked open before he took a step. Minghao spun round to find the cutie drying his hair and fully clohed, sadly.
‘hi there! can i help you?’ he said
‘um…uh…my mom was asking if your family would like to come over for dinner? and i’m so sorry for asking out of the blue.’ Minghao said, kind of quickly.
‘i mean sure cause my parents are on a business trip and i was actually about to go out for dinner but, well, you came. great timing i guess? the name’s Wonwoo by the way.’
ahh so the cutie finally had a name.
‘Minghao. nice to meet you.’ Minghao stuck his hand out to Wonwoo and the latter gladly took it. ‘c’mon. my mom’s waiting. I think she’s almost done.’
however, Minghao’s mother was not even near done.
“oh no Minghao could you bring him up to your room first or something? gimme like half an hour? I’ll call you down when I’m done” Minghao’s mother said quickly, shooeing him to his room.
“uhhh my mom’s not done yet, soooooooo you wanna come upstairs? and like talk? I don’t know.” Minghao mumbles to Wonwoo.
“sure I don’t mind. lead the way?”
all that can be heard is the shuffling of feet as they are their way up to Minghao’s room.
“so…. ah….tell me about yourself i guess?” Minghao said
“uh i’m eighteen, and well my birthday is 17th july and i like to read. “ Wonwoo said
“yea i noticed…” Minghao mumbled
“hm? what was that?” Wonwoo said, somewhat teasingly but Minghao didn’t notice.
“nothing!” Minghao was flustered, he hadn’t noticed he said that aloud. dang it. however he also didn’t notice the teasing smile on Wonwoo’s face.
“and…..we’re here. WELCOME TO MY BEDROOM!” ok, Minghao didn’t shout it. He said it dramatically. at least, he hoped he did. part of him wants to impress Wonwoo, the other wanted to remain subtle, mysterious. rigggggght. like I can be mysterious. since-
“what are you mumbling about?” Wonwoo asked, cutting Minghao’s thoughts off.
“uh…..did you hear all of that?”
oh no oh no oh no not again
and I’m gonna stop here cuz like idk. I feel this is a little bit long for what was supposed to be a small part. so hopefully I get a full story out soon and if u liked it, tell me? god knows I need approval. I also I have other stuff on my blog so see ya for now! and this will be continued.
