Headcanon: Ponder has a somewhat nervous disposition and way of acting, but despite this he has been growing steadily more sure of himself in his time as a faculty member. And now, as one of the most important people at the university, though he still might act somewhat nervous (especially in the presence of the senior faculty members) he is far more confidant than he appears. The fact that he had the guts to stand up to both Archchancellor Ridcully and the archchancellor of the Pseudopolis university shows this.

#headcanons #I seriously squee when he stands up to the archchancellor #he's taking over for the Bursar and it's great because unlike the Bursar he doesn't crack under pressure #he gets stronger
