thank you! i was a little shocked at how many bottles of vinegar in all its varied forms i packaged away this evening in preparation for my impending move! i’m not really sure how to answer your question? it all just happened organically over the years due in part to: a love of cooking (but mostly eating), a surplus of dumpstered fruit (that got turned into jam), being poor for most of my life & loving free stuff (foraging), a DIY ethos & an interest in herbal medicine. i mostly just kinda wing stuff and adapt recipes i find in cookbooks or the internet.i really love native flavours and plants and compared to the northern hemisphere i feel like knowledge of edible native plants is not as accessible so my use of natives is pretty basic but i definitely want to learn as much as i can!

past fortnight or so: hiding in plants / james chance & the contortions / dirty three. i've just arrived in adelaide where the sun doesn't set until 9pm and it's 40 degrees. i'm here for work and my hotel room has a tv which is a weird novel experience because i don't own one. pray that my face doesn't melt off; i'm leaving the safety of the air con to get food.
