Well, I got publicly shamed by ovktor for my absolute obsession with G1 double antiques and ended up having to make this monstrosity of a meme.

I really love using some of the old fest skins, and Epiphyllum is just such a gorgeous accent that it's difficult to pass on an excuse to use it. Soft pinks and greens tend to be what I lean towards for early spring, and with WC season just having ended... why not!

I’m a bit behind on this since everything was... everything. But please meet Zhithrhi, hatched on the same day my light sprite was sacrificed in the AH. He’s an XXY obsidian g1 monster and I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at this -- did FR feel bad for me? Did RNG just look at my mess of a self and go ‘ah yeah, yeah okay, yeah let’s just.... throw them a bone...’ or something?

I just wanna say a huge thank you to everyone over the past whole heccing 24 hours. All of your kind comments on here and FR have been so incredibly wholesome and have really helped make this massively stupid situation be a lot more sweet than salty.

I originally made the post to share the pain a little and to give a rather harsh reminder to people to always double check your listings and NOT to pull a Hex, apparently. I never meant for it to get this popular or for people to be so sympathetic.

A few of you have sent gems, silly jokes, items and more, and I just want to say that I’m just... urf, I’m so overwhelmed by the community reaction and all of your support. It was never my intention to seem like I was begging for support, I just wanted to make the best joke out of a poor situation. I’m so incredibly thankful to all of you who’ve done so and those who have pitched in with their kind comments, it really just means so much to me ; v;

Although it seems like I’m not getting the light sprite back, that one sour user is drowned out by the mass of kind-hearted and wholesome hecks that flood the rest of FR. You’re all a bunch of lovely walnuts and I’m struggling to find the right words to just... convey how humbled ( yeh I know the word is tacky, but I can’t figure out a better way to say this ! ) I am by all of your help and messages.

jergkjrhg honestly it’s okay !! My immediate reaction was obviously one of just ‘oh hECK’ and ended up with me talking to people in discord / servers, then posting on here. I think that kinda helped get the whole ouchie part of it out of the way and has let me laugh about it instead.

It is my own fault though ! FR has a good system where it tells you right on that pop-up “HEY THIS IS GONNA BE IN TREASURE OKAY AND YOU’RE GONNA LOSE SOME MONEY OKAY?” but my dumdum smoothbrain just went ‘oh hell yeh button time!’ I know it’s just habit by this point to just immediately click on the okay, but I’m hoping that my massive mistake will at least give people a bit of exposure on just how bad that mistake can be and to double-check their listings rather than slamming things down like a toddler with new building blocks.

I’m definitely not stopping playing ! I’ve been a member of FR since its first opening, and I’ve loved it the entire time. I’ve had a few hiccups here and there, but I also know that little gross parts like this don’t immediately mean that I shouldn’t play anymore ; v;

I’ll likely take a day or two to just step back and breathe because... even though it’s just pixels it still stings like a heck and a half to have that much work just poured down the drain because of an absolute literal idiotic walnut of a brain chugging along at full tilt without much of a care.

Emotional damage is definitely accurate.

to the gems that have been linking the misprice thread in notes and pms :: thank you so much ; v; I’m gonna keep an eye on it and see if anything pops up, but I’m hesitant to post anything because just... let’s be honest, very few people on FR are going to pass on a mispriced treasure-cost sprite :upside_down:

this is nothing on the community ! it’s just how things are sometimes. I’m still going to hope something pops up but... at the same time I know it’s highly unlikely.

As some of you may know, I have a bit of a scattering addiction on FR qwq I usually snap up multigaze dragons for scatter projects, sometimes keeping them for myself, gifting to friends, or just selling when they’re nice ( or when I give up... ;w; )

This time around, I’ve decided that I’m going to do a small giveaway instead -- this lad is rather handsome, but not quite my taste in colours. He’d also be good for another scatter project if the winner doesn’t love his colours!

He’s a G1 Light MG, Sanddollar / Abyss / Banana ( 1-off XYX with matching eyes ) and hopefully will go to a good home!

tbh give me any excuse possible to dress dragons up in good ol’ copper tones.

PC skins have been chefkiss at the moment, and I will always try to dress dragons up to show ‘em off somehow. In this case, my earth MG pair, Morea and Dietes needed a nice update, so you know I had to use Driamatic and Coexistence’s skins here.

you ever just go over-the-top with an outfit, look at it, and go ‘oh huh, guess that sure is a thing’

PCs are underrated and have the best bodies to show off gold seraph items, you can fight me on that. The whole reason for this outfit was to pair well with sanddollar ghost, but I realized it’s just as easy to swap around with other colours.

First off I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has pitched in for feedback and ideas, I really do appreciate all of you! I also appreciate all the PMs I’ve been getting in FR either for pricing help or just to say hi -- it’s really lovely to have so many people in the community reaching out to learn a bit!

As promised before, I’ve started to put together the next section of the G1 Guide: Price Examples.

This is a section where I’ll be using examples of my own dragons that I’ve bought or sold, some from friends, and I’ll also be accepting submission examples if anyone is interested in doing so! Just shoot a PM to me on FR ( Hex #7722 ) with your dragon and information, or just a dragon you’d like me to dissected-pricewise on the thread!

This section may become it’s own unique document if it gets too long -- we’re already at a pretty lengthy spot -- and I do have plans to make a glossary to make the entire document more accessible to people who just want to click-through. This will require a lot of edits though, so I do ask that people have some patience if they see me tweaking stuff on the document here and there ( or if I break the layout somehow... )

The document is still in Beta since we have a lot of sections to still work on ( quick estimate guide, simple colour combos, AH vs. true value, Auctions vs. Flatsale, etc. )  before I can semi-cement it and start making it ready for forum-use, so feel free to send feedback or questions wherever needed! I’m always more than happy to hear you out.

This year, as a terrible burden gift to the FR community, I decided to put together a general guide for Generation One dragon pricing and selling.

With Notn, we all tend to get our hands in G1 sales regardless of whether we’re a G1 lair or not. A lot of people don’t know where to start or how to even consider values, while others may want to buy dragons and don’t know where to even start with an offer. This leads to a lot of users being scammed out of dragons or underpricing their stuff in general, which can more than upsetting to see.

After seeing a lot of questions and concerns from both people in forums and in discord groups, I decided to put this guide together to help both new and old players understand what specific colour subspecies mean, how they impact a dragon’s value, and how to look at specific additions in a dragon and understand if they add or subtract from the overall value.

This document is still in Beta! Please keep that in mind while going through it -- it took a lot of time to set up and has been checked and used by a small group already, but it definitely needs to have the kinks worked out of it before I set up a proper forum for it on FR. This means that if there are any questions, suggestions, or concerns that you should feel more than welcome to message me about it on FR since... well, my tumblr is a bit of a mess ;v;

The document is not super optimized for mobile, but can still work fairly decently ( I may try to make a version specifically for mobile if the need arises. ) It also includes images of multi-gaze dragons and primals, since it’s important to show these examples for pricing.

The values in here are ones pulled from both the current and past market, with extremely old or extremely unique cases excluded to keep things a bit more streamlined. The guide will likely be updated in the next few months depending on how this year’s notn floods specific colour groups and how people’s interests are waning.

I’m hoping to keep this document something updated, clear, and easy to use for any user to start pricing their own G1s, so please have some patience as I work through it all with user feedback to ensure it’s something that is both accessible and usable for everyone. For now, I am a tired cookie and will be letting the document breathe and circulate before doing major edits unless something terrible pops up! ( please don’t break it, I don’t know how you could but please, my little heart can’t take losing all of this )
