Hetalia - World Tour!

What if basically since their bodies are made to withstand being nations, their brains are wired slightly different from ours as well, so their flow of time would be pretty different from ours as well, right? As in, they can see in our time if they wanted, but as there's not much to make them have need to, they slip back into their own which is so much more fastpaced. Or if they do start caring for a human, and it seems the human dies so fast when they were so so sure that they were trying to live day by day and minute by minute, but because of the different wiring in their minds, they slip back into their own time. Therefore making a human dying when it felt like such a short time all the more painful because they feel as if they should've payed more attention, put more effort into not slipping back but they did and that just hurts so much because they feel like they let their friend/boss/lover/whatev​er down when they didn't, and that tends to be why someone close to them that's human usually hurts them a good deal, and why most of them, although proud of their people, try not to become good friends with them if they can.

At this point it's a good idea to note that Treas threw this lil nugget out:

It probably explains why nations can actually handle living so long without going completely nuts- they. they don't realize how much time has actually gone by until reality hit them in the face. It would explain China's case, too. 5000+ years, and he's still running strong. Why? Because it felt like its barely been 50. Years. oops, im getting philosophical.)) 

Which then lead to this from me: and maybe that's why it might hurt that badly if the human they may've been close to brushed them off claiming they were being too clingy. They weren't being clingy. They were trying to keep as much time and as many memories as they coul with that human before the next day, which in our time may very well have been a week and anything could've hapened in a week including their mortal friends death 

And the HetaOni thing? they were stuck in there for up to three years. Because it might've felt like only a few days to them, but the time warp n HetaOni stretched it out to over three years. And the people in the viallge? The young ones that they heard about it from? When the nations came down again, they'd gotten older and started families and they'd taken them for dead, so seeing them come out again was weird, but they just brushed it off as a memory. And yet the nations still remember it, and once they got information about how long they were gone, they all dealt with it differently. Some by breaking down, and others by just ot talking about it, blocking it form memory. 

People from the village may still go up and into the house, and see things, feel things, just get jolts of memories and the like that the nations went through in the house, (i.e a moment of extreme terror, the sound of a plate, the sudden urge to sob because you just lost something dreadfully important to you)and a few from just normal history. And it usually breaks the people, sends them out of there f they can get out. It broke the nations, we watched. It would destroy a human.

And what if they still have nightmares about it. There's still times when One of them will break down, have a nightmare, and just go to one of the others that went through it and they'd both just sit there, quiet, remembering. A silent comfort about it all. And once again, that is if they even got out in the first place.

And what if they still see Steve. He's still there. Watching them. FOllowing them. Waiting, waiting for them to make a stupid mistake again/ And they see him from the vorners of their eyes. They know. And it scares them. Nothing scares a nation easily, but this absolutely terrifies them. 

And it's the small hours that they see him the most. When everythings dark, all is quiet, and sleep calls so lustfully to them thathe's there. He stands close by their bed, by their chair, and he watches. He waits. He observes. They can't tell if he's actually there or not, if he's just an image their mind has brought up, a vision of the past. Or if he's there. He's right there, and they an't tell and it hurts them. Opens wounds they thought to be long healed. It scares them. Causes them to want to attack him. To attack themselves. They break then, in the small hours between night and morning. Wanting to sleep so badly, but also not daring to. It breaks their psyche again, brings back memories from years they'd like to forget. Wars. Brother turning on brother. Death. It destroys them all over again, breaks the walls they've built against it, and they're powerless. They just sit there. Stare back at the Steve they can't tell of monster or mind. And once they've sobbed until nothing comes out, broken themselves from the inside out again, muscles cramped from being still, voice hoarse from screaming. It's when the sun comes up that it fades. When they whimper and shake. Alone. Finally, alone again. Safe. Safe as long as the sun stays up. And that's what they fear in the night, is the absence of the sun.

Also, what if the nations that did not go into the mansion don't remember it or know anything about it. If they walk in on a comfort session, the nations comforting just tell them it's a book. And it's just left at that because most ations who didn't go in don't care for it past that, and the ones who went in are careful with talking about it.

And what if they told their bosses at the time, and there's the knowledge that's passed down from them to the next, just incase one of the nations fall into a mood of it when at their national building. So if one of them breaks down their boss just kind of excuses and gently consoles them the best they can. And even if the ation doesn't like them, it's like they'll cling to them, or hug them, or just show more appreciation to them for it simply because it makes them know that although their boss hasn't gone through it, they at least tried to help them, tried to comfort them. And even if it's not much, it's one good thing they'll remember them for, despite how much they may hate them.
