If you are black, do not let this go. Never forget the injustice served by the very people that promise you freedom. You have every right to express your outrage, and to anyone that disagrees with you, give them a big “fuck you”. Do everything in your power to make sure justice is served and to make sure something like this NEVER happens again. History will always repeat itself if this country does not LEARN.

If you are white, do not forget your privilege. Do not forget that you cannot tell black people how to feel or tell them their outrage is misplaced. You are ALL beneficiaries of America’s institutionalized racism. You do not understand what it means to be scared for your life of people whose catch phrase is “to protect and serve”. Do NOT single yourself out by saying “not all white people are racist” because even though that may be true, you benefit from a system that lets white people walk free for killing a black person for just about any reason. Do NOT blame yourselves or become white-shaming, as this does nothing to help the cause; all it does is make the issue about YOU, again, and takes the focus away from the people that TRULY deserve the sympathy. Do all you can to fight against this injustice and detach yourself from the institutionalized racism you all grew up with and are privileged with today.

If you are a non-black POC, do NOT stay silent about the ridicule and anti-blackness that is rampant and alive in your own communities. You will become as much of a part of the problem as white people that are being white apologists. Fight this injustice hard and well, because guess who is on the white man’s kill list right after black people? ANY and EVERYONE else that is not white.
