Hi! I wanted to let you know that we’re moving. We’ve been pushed out of the shop by the tornado and stuck at home during the pandemic, but it’s given us the time to dig into some fantasy projects-- stuff we’d always wanted to explore but never found the time. You’ve seen a little bit of that from us lately, and our next steps will take us further in that direction.
We’re headed to northern Vermont to build an off-the-grid workshop. We’ll be growing plants to dye cloth, making clothes with foot-powered machines, and visiting East Coast cities for bespoke fittings.
We’ve been thinking more about how clothes are connected to the land, and we decided it’s important for us to be more connected to the land as well. New England has a history of small-scale production, and an exciting network of contemporary craftspeople. We’re eager to dive into it all.
I feel bad that we haven’t had a good chance to say goodbye, but we plan to be back in Nashville often for bespoke orders.
In the next few months we’ll be introducing more ready-to-wear clothes. There’s a lot of stuff we’ve been working on for a very long time, and we’re really excited to finally get it out there. Follow along, drive by the shop and honk, tell us what you know about solar power, or keep scrolling. See you soon!
