These are some PMD OCs I made recently for a medieval setting. It takes place in a middle-age setting where, following a mysterious meteor strike that wipes out humankind (it’s the meteor holding the original dragon that, in the games, splits into Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem! It does not split in this story).
Following the strike, Infinity Energy (the seemingly endless supply of “magic” that allows Pokemon to use their elemental abilities, including moves) fully vanishes, leaving Pokemon powerless, ordinary, and at the whims of their own hands and feet.
Many Pokemon go totally extinct as a result of this (many ghost types), some species survive but are worse off, and some are more or less unaffected (normal types). Pokemon can no longer use moves.
Pokemon battles are just fights with swords.
Societies are built upon the ruins of human kingdoms. The original Legendary Dragon, which represents Rationality (the balance between truth and ideals), is worshipped as a monotheistic deity of Pokemon.
This takes place in a medieval world where infinity energy (the seemingly endless supply of "magic" that Pokemon harness to use their elemental abilities, including moves) completely vanishes.

- Arrogant, self-absorbed, convinced he is destined to lead to the point of getting too comfortable, and therefore is extremely lazy. (“Why TRY to become a good leader when I already know I WILL be?” kind of mindset)
- Leader of Team Heavy Metal. Pretty bad at his job but he’s got more of the spirit than anyone else. Loves his teammates to death, but takes them for granted

- Analytical, blunt, incredibly particular about logistics
- Immobilized when it comes to picking an evolution. Wants to narrow down the PERFECT choice. So wrapped up in the functional aspects of each potential evolution that he ends up talking to himself in circles

🪷 Lily the Bulbasaur
- Irritable, exasperated, exhausted. Puts up with Iron’s antics, regrettably so. That rat is driving her crazy
- Gets along better with Ever
- Is the seemingly “normal” member of the group, but is driven to abnormal behavior merely through constantly interacting with the other two
- Member of Team Heavy Metal
🐉 Drampa
- Local guild leader
- Wise, experienced, calm and collected. Except for when he’s trying to reign in his son, Iron
- Wants the best for his son. Coddled him too much in youth, and blames himself for his son’s entitled behavior now. Is harsher on him these days
- Weird dynamic with the local restaurant owner, Serperior…
🌑🕯️🌿 Team Scoundrel
- Scramble the Zorua, Scoot the Litwick, and Scamper the Tangela
- Team Heavy Metal’s rivals! (At least, that’s what Iron insists they are)
- Work for Serperior, and have their own motivations for causing mischief — but all around aren’t that villainous. Just as Team Heavy Metal isn’t particularly heroic.
🐍 Serperior
- Villainous, evil do-no-gooder hiding under the disguise of a local restaurant owner!
- …Really, though, she’s just trying to get the attention of her ex-boyfriend, the local guild leader, Drampa.
- Or… is she trying to get back at him? It’s a little hard to tell how she feels about him. Point is, she’s a force to be reckoned with!
- Hires Team Scoundrel to do her bidding.
