I hate how much society has an impact on how secure a female feels about her appearance. The media, is the main cause because they have the biggest audience, and is what people are most strongly influenced by. They determine what they think is attractive at the time, and then that look is what females try to go after, and if theyâre not able to meet the standards, then they will not feel good enough. For example, If everyone goes around promoting a certain type of female like, light skinned girls with big butts, or thick girls, or thin, or what ever type seems attractive to them, then what happens to the self esteem of the girls that have darker skin, and a petite shape? Or pale skin with a bigger shape? What happens to the girls that cannot achieve these looks? Everyone is made differently and for some it is almost impossible to change how they look, because of their genetics. In my opinion all females have a unique look to them, and we are all beautiful. We just have to embrace how we are and then our confidence will only make us more beautiful. It just bothers me because there could be a gorgeous girl, and a guy can see that, but if she doesnât meet societies requirements then he wouldnât even bother to talk to her. Its sad, and one day guys will see that looks arenât even all that matter. This goes for females as well, and is a major reason that relationships donât work out these days. Everyone is more focused on finding someone that will make them look good, instead of finding someone they can actually connect with, and it doesnât last long. We should be going after people with a good personality, and a good head on their shoulders. Someone who has virtuous characteristics, not who society says we should be with.
