WE SURVIVE TOGETHER

i spent years compiling research on the REVENANTS. i did a four-year university degree by correspondence on ancient cultures & languages because i thought that maybe, MAYBE, I could break the CURSE. —– & you, who’s never tried to be good at anything in life, got to be the SPECIAL one while i just got to be WAVERLY! ( independent & selective waverly earp of syfy’s wynonna earp )

       its too early to do anything, even slide out of bed & force herself to do ANYTHING; she pretends to think about it before she returns the smile & leans in to peck octavia’s lips. “ because if we stay, your brother’s gonna start the civil war all over again if he finds me half naked in your bed…” a beat. “ & the hickeys on your neck”.  

               But Jet suspects they may have a similar objective and in turn he eases the sharpness of his smirk, lowers his brow, untucks his arms, and opens himself in the name of liberation ; he hopes the tension in her jaw slackens in suit. “Look, I won’t say anything, I promise. But if you go out that window alone, I won’t have to.” The stillness and ancient furniture leaves every room stale, and any opportunity for fresh air is welcomed.

              “barely.” the single word is breathed out, quiet but still loud enough for the other to hear. as she moves to sit up a hand is clutching at the side of her head, deft fingers tracing over the knot that had formed. despite her body’s ache she does her best to take in her surroundings before dark eyes settle on her company. “what is this place?” a slow blink. “who are you?”
